comment on my fasting insulin moved and I cannot work out whether metformin is why in c/t2dglp1 · 63 points · 1 year ago

CGM shows you the shape, A1c shows you the area

This is the distinction that resolves most of the confusion here — average versus shape.

comment on [Question] Australia — has anyone got a straight answer on confirmations in c/cryptopay · 80 points · 1 year ago

Escrow is not standard in this space. Wanting it is reasonable; expecting it as default is not.

comment on how much of what we believe about scam actually comes from PDF metadata threads in c/scamalerts · 28 points · 1 year ago

That is an accusation about a named individual and it does not belong here in any form.

comment on Spain: DHL, and what it actually costs here in c/intlshipping · 225 points · 1 year ago

Packaging is assessable on arrival with no equipment: rigid outer, no movement inside, the cold element sized to the transit rather than to the box.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about excursion until somebody posts a number in c/coldchain · 45 points · 1 year ago

That is a lane problem rather than a packaging problem, and the fixes are different.

escrow arrangements are rare and worth asking about

comment on tried tracking for 4 weeks. here is what happened. in c/dosinglogs · 13 points · 1 year ago

Kept one line a week for 3 months. It was pointless for the first eight weeks and then it was the most useful document I owned.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about lane in c/intlshipping · 12 points · 1 year ago

The rigid outer with no rattle in it was the thing that told me most about that supplier, before I had tested anything.

permalink

comment on anyone else notice hypoglycaemia kicking in around week 8 in c/t2dglp1 · 1 points · 1 year ago

Variability dropped before the average did, which was visible on the sensor and invisible on the lab result.

permalink

comment on the data logger question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/coldchain · 627 points · 1 year ago

transit temperature is a distribution, not a number

permalink

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about USDC is guesswork in c/cryptopay · 227 points · 1 year ago

A token symbol identifies an asset, not a network. The same symbol commonly exists on several chains with incompatible address formats, and sending across that boundary is generally unrecoverable.

preclinical enthusiasm is not clinical evidence

Adding the standing caveat — research material is not approved for human use, wherever you are.

permalink

comment on [Meta] the T2D rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/t2dglp1 · 24 points · 1 year ago

Agreed. A1c is an integrated average over roughly three months and treating it as a current reading causes a lot of unnecessary alarm.

comment on [Vendor] JEEP order #3 — Ireland, 21 days, no drama, receipts inside in c/intlshipping · 5 points · 1 year ago

Disagree. That is a customs hold, not a carrier delay, and lumping them together makes the lane table wrong.

comment on three years of oral GLP-1 threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/orforglipron · 19 points · 1 year ago

Has anyone here seen independent identity testing on this?

permalink

comment on three years of oral GLP-1 threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/orforglipron · 69 points · 1 year ago

Not convinced. Oral semaglutide is a peptide formulated with an absorption enhancer; the comparison you are making does not hold.

comment on [Discussion] the cloned site advice in here is 3 years out of date in c/scamalerts · 10 points · 1 year ago

The site had a decade of testimonials and a domain registered in March. That was the entire investigation.

A transit temperature logger records a distribution, and time above a threshold matters as much as peak temperature. That is the argument for logging rather than guessing.

comment on [Discussion] ATTAIN is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/orforglipron · 10 points · 1 year ago

Small fix — the two programme names got swapped upthread and it changes which population the figure came from.

the last mile is where most of the variance lives

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify USDC in c/cryptopay · 0 points · 1 year ago

A test transaction costs one extra network fee and verifies the address, the network and the recipient’s crediting process before the main amount move

lane_watcher is right about confirmations. "Sent" is not a status.

How many days in transit, and which month?

permalink

nobody legitimate needs the payment in the next ten minutes

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify weekly update in c/dosinglogs · 106 points · 2 years ago

Built an elaborate spreadsheet, abandoned it by week nine, restarted with four columns and have kept it ever since.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify weekly update in c/dosinglogs · -7 points · 2 years ago

Added a sleep column late and immediately understood two of my worst weeks.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify weekly update in c/dosinglogs · 43 points · 2 years ago

What is the one column you added late and wish you had from the start?

permalink

comment on someone explain ATTAIN to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/orforglipron · 1 points · 2 years ago

I would not assume the tolerability profile transfers exactly. Similar class effects, different exposure profile.

permalink

comment on someone explain ATTAIN to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/orforglipron · 1 points · 2 years ago

the boards keep comparing it to injectables at matched doses, which is meaningless

permalink

comment on [Question] small molecule — what am I missing here in c/orforglipron · 9 points · 2 years ago

This. The absence of food and water timing restrictions is the practical difference people will actually notice.

comment on reading tendon threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/bpc157 · 65 points · 2 years ago

Reconstituted or powder, and how long has it been in solution?

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about ATTAIN until somebody posts a number in c/orforglipron · 53 points · 2 years ago

Daily dosing gives a very different exposure profile from a weekly injectable: peaks and troughs within each day rather than a smoothed weekly curve.

permalink

comment on BPC-157 — 22 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/bpc157 · 3 points · 2 years ago

Agreed. Identity is the question here. A short peptide can be synthesised by almost anyone and the sequence is what you are actually buying.

permalink

comment on data logger is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/coldchain · 1 points · 2 years ago

Small fix — refrigerated, not frozen, once it is in solution.

permalink

comment on [Vendor] SWB vs FGP on the same compound, same month — both cleared 98.0% in c/scamalerts · 45 points · 2 years ago

Agreed on the no-names rule. It protects the board and it protects people who turn out to be wrong.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring scam at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/scamalerts · 25 points · 2 years ago

Correction: that domain is one character different from the one you posted, which is rather the point of this thread.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] data logger is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/coldchain · 60 points · 2 years ago

You cannot infer potency from a temperature record. The record tells you what happened to the box; only a test tells you what happened to the material.

Regional stock changes the question rather than answering it: shorter lanes mean less exposure and fewer variables, which is why the warehouse question is worth asking before ordering in summer.
