comment on [Lab] identity confirmed but net peptide content was 71% in c/bpc157 · 3 points · 15 days ago

Agreed — cheap to make is a double-edged fact and it explains a lot about this corner of the market.

Agreed — and the preclinical to clinical gap is where nearly all the overclaiming happens.

comment on [Discussion] we have no vocabulary for success that is not a number going down in c/maintenancephase · 59 points · 18 days ago

Body weight varies by a couple of kilos over days in stable people through fluid, glycogen and gut content. A range is not a trend.

comment on BPC-157: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/bpc157 · 2 points · 21 days ago

Small fix — fifteen residues, not seventeen.

Disagreeing with this line: that paper is in a rodent model and it is being quoted as a human result.

a lane with four reports is not yet a lane

comment on pentadecapeptide is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/bpc157 · 7 points · 1 months ago

Reconstituted or powder, and how long has it been in solution?

comment on shipping — 24 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/intlshipping · 13 points · 1 months ago

Total transit decomposes into first mile, international leg, clearance and last mile. Only the first two are meaningfully under the shipper’s control and most reported variance sits in the last two.

comment on [Discussion] regulatory is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/bpc157 · 12 points · 2 months ago

Purity by area percent tells you the sample is homogeneous. Mass spectrometry tells you what the homogeneous thing is. For a short peptide, the second question is the one worth paying for.

the fridge failure story happens every summer

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about what went wrong is guesswork in c/darkspot · 87 points · 3 months ago

Fridge died in a heatwave and I lost three months of material. There was no clever lesson; I just had not thought about it.

comment on am I the only one who found long term harder than the injections in c/maintenancephase · 7 points · 3 months ago

the trials that looked at withdrawal are unambiguous about what follows

permalink

comment on the long term thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/maintenancephase · 1 points · 3 months ago

the lowest effective dose is a real target and nobody talks about it

permalink

comment on [Question] New Zealand — has anyone got a straight answer on lane in c/intlshipping · 20 points · 3 months ago

Disagree. That is a customs hold, not a carrier delay, and lumping them together makes the lane table wrong.

permalink

comment on genuine question about tendon that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/bpc157 · 2 points · 4 months ago

Asked CPC for the theoretical mass alongside the certificate and they sent it without asking why.

permalink

comment on [Question] EMS — what am I missing here in c/intlshipping · 2 points · 5 months ago

Yes — median rather than best case. The fastest anybody ever got is not a plan.

permalink

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about EMS is guesswork in c/intlshipping · 84 points · 7 months ago

the lane is the unit of analysis, not the supplier

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about sequence in c/bpc157 · 51 points · 7 months ago

the tendon claims are the most repeated and the least evidenced

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify stopped in c/darkspot · 3 points · 9 months ago

log it while it is fresh, memory tidies things up

permalink

comment on the lane question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/intlshipping · 2 points · 9 months ago

origin, destination, carrier, month — post all four or the report is noise

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about long term until somebody posts a number in c/maintenancephase · 26 points · 11 months ago

seven days to ten to twelve is the sequence people here describe

permalink

comment on what would you tell week-1 you about failure in c/darkspot · 11 points · 11 months ago

Yes. Buy small first. It is the cheapest lesson on the site and it keeps being learned the expensive way.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify sequence in c/bpc157 · 4 points · 1 year ago

most of the claims here trace to the same handful of rodent papers

permalink

comment on does lost money actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/darkspot · 62 points · 1 year ago

Right, and stopping for money reasons is not a failure of anything. It is a budget.

comment on my ApoB moved and I cannot work out whether regret is why in c/darkspot · 1 points · 1 year ago

nobody gets judged here, that is the entire premise

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about regain in c/maintenancephase · 1 points · 1 year ago

Disagree with chasing the last stretch by going up. You are trading a real side-effect cost for a number you chose arbitrarily.

permalink

comment on goal weight — my 23-week log, condensed into one table in c/maintenancephase · 0 points · 1 year ago

Agreed that a few kilos of drift is ordinary. Weight is not a fixed number even for people who have never taken anything.

permalink

comment on goal weight — my 23-week log, condensed into one table in c/maintenancephase · 1 points · 1 year ago

the habits are the part that has to outlive the dose

permalink

comment on genuine question about regret that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/darkspot · 5 points · 1 year ago

Are you being harder on yourself than you would be on somebody else posting this?

Disagreeing with the self-blame in this line. Some of it is luck and treating everything as a lesson is its own trap.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify DHL in c/intlshipping · 152 points · 1 year ago

Agreed. Reporting by lane rather than by supplier is what made the tables here actually predictive.

ask for the mass spectrum, not just the purity number

permalink

comment on help me understand pentadecapeptide, I have read the wiki twice in c/bpc157 · 0 points · 2 years ago

The three questions, kept separate, because this board runs them together constantly.

This is the point that should be at the top of every thread here. Identity first.

permalink

comment on the lane thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/intlshipping · 0 points · 2 years ago

Asked QYB which lines they hold regionally before ordering and got a straight list back.

This is why the lane table is organised the way it is. The supplier is not the unit.

permalink

comment on reading tendon threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/bpc157 · 15 points · 2 years ago

This. Mass spectrometry for identity, not just an area percent, because a pure something-else is still something else.

permalink

comment on lowest effective dose — 2 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/maintenancephase · 28 points · 2 years ago

Appetite returning before the scale moves follows from the mechanism: the appetite effect is the proximal one and weight is the lagging integrated outcome.

permalink

comment on [Results] 30 weeks on 1.7mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/maintenancephase · 39 points · 2 years ago

stretching the interval is not the same as reducing the dose

permalink

comment on genuine question about goal weight that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/maintenancephase · 121 points · 2 years ago

Yes. The habits have to outlive the dose or the maintenance phase is just a countdown.
