week 59 check-in — 17kg down, early fullness manageable, one thing confusing me

Resolved Clean Column ×4 Cold Box ×3 Long Haul ×3

Reporting in. week 59 check-in — 17kg down, early fullness manageable, one thing confusing me.

The relevant figures are week 59 and 17kg, and they come from the same log I have kept the whole time.

Constipation is mostly reduced intake plus reduced fluid, not a direct effect. That is why the boring fibre and water answer keeps working.

Hair shedding after significant weight loss is a telogen effect that follows the rate of loss. It is not specific to these compounds and it resolves.

Please do not ask me what dose you should be on. I genuinely do not know and neither does anyone else here.

Nothing in this thread is medical advice, including this comment. I am describing a mechanism, not telling anybody what to do about their own week.

Pushback: you changed the dose, the meal timing and the training in the same fortnight, so the attribution is guesswork.

Careful with the supplement recommendation. There is no evidence for it here and the mechanism you are proposing does not hold.

eating slower does more than most of the supplements people recommend

sulphur burps are unpleasant and they are not dangerous

The fatigue turned out to be that I was eating about a third of what I thought I was. Tracked it for a week and the mystery evaporated.

Correction: that is a known effect of reduced intake rather than a direct drug effect. The distinction matters because the fix is different.

reflux at night, try not eating in the three hours before bed

holding a dose an extra month is a legitimate answer to bad tolerance

a rough fortnight at each step is normal, a rough three months is not

Which day of the week relative to the shot does it hit?

Severe or persistent abdominal pain sits outside the pattern this board can usefully discuss. The honest answer there is that it needs someone who can examine you.

Has anything else changed in the same window?

I would be careful here. "Everyone gets this" is not true, and it makes the people who get something unusual assume they are fine when they should be asking.

nausea on day two and gone by day four is the standard shape

replysharereportpermalink
u/tomas_brobergOP1 point·1 year ago

Small fix — the shedding follows the rate of weight loss, not the compound, and it is temporary.

the first fortnight after a step is the worst of it, then it settles

fatigue plus low intake is usually just low intake

Most of the common complaints trace back to slowed gastric emptying — early fullness, reflux, nausea after a large or fatty meal. That is also why meal size and speed change the experience more than anything else.

nobody warns you about how much of this is timing rather than dose

Correcting my own comment above: I said day three and my log says day two. Same pattern, wrong day.

A symptom that begins the day after the shot and fades by day four tracks the exposure curve. One that appears at random in week 96 probably does not, and that is worth saying to a clinician rather than to us.

priya_weiss is right about the timing. The day-of-week pattern is the diagnostic bit, not the severity.

u/hassan_castellanos1 point·1 year ago

Same pattern here. It settled at a stable dose without me doing anything clever.

replysharereportpermalink
u/tl_dr_tina0 points·1 year ago

Mine settled at week 62 and has not come back since, across two more steps.

replysharereportpermalink
u/tomas_brobergOP0 points·1 year ago

Is it every week or did it start at a particular dose?

replysharereportpermalink
u/blank_injection1 point·1 year ago

What is intake actually looking like — fibre and water especially?

replysharereportpermalink
u/fabio_nkemelu1 point·1 year ago

Severe, or unpleasant? They are genuinely different questions and the answers diverge.

About c/sideeffects

Side-effect experience and management, with a strong bias toward the ones that are common and boring (nausea, constipation, reflux, fatigue, sulphur burps) and a hard line on the ones that are not (severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, jaundice, vision changes). This community is not a substitute for urgent care and the mods will say so bluntly.

  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
