comment on [Question] interval stretching vs dose reduction — is either better in c/tapering · 4 points · 9 days ago

cost and supply are the two most common reasons and both are legitimate

permalink

comment on [Results] 14 months, 41kg, one boring spreadsheet, no photos by design in c/progresspics · 1 points · 11 days ago

Correction: 26kg over 15 months is a different claim from 26kg in a month, and the post reads as the second.

Are you comparing against phase 3 numbers for something else? They are not comparable.

phase 2 data only, and people quote it like it is a label

permalink

comment on is it normal to get muscle cramps at week 85 in c/retatrutide · 1 points · 21 days ago

not approved anywhere, which is the single most important fact in this board

comment on [Struggle] eight weeks, 2kg, doing everything right, and it is grinding me down in c/progresspics · 4 points · 23 days ago

A goal weight chosen before starting is a prediction made with the least information you will ever have. Revising it is ordinary rather than a failure.

comment on [Milestone] AHI 34 → 9, the CPAP is in a cupboard in c/progresspics · 4 points · 27 days ago

Rate of change is not a virtue. Slower trajectories are as durable as fast ones and are considerably better represented on this board than the front page suggests.

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about triple agonist is guesswork in c/retatrutide · 11 points · 1 months ago

dose escalation in the trials was slow for a reason

nobody owes anybody a starting weight

comment on TRIUMPH is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/retatrutide · 89 points · 2 months ago

Read the phase 2 paper twice before ordering anything. Recommend that to anyone in this board: the error bars are the interesting part.

permalink

comment on [PSA] phase 2 is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/retatrutide · 35 points · 2 months ago

the phase 2 numbers were striking and they were also 48 weeks in a small population

comment on [Struggle] regained 6kg over a winter and i am posting it anyway in c/progresspics · 11 points · 2 months ago

That is a waist measurement, not a weight, and the thread has been comparing them as though they were the same.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about regain until somebody posts a number in c/tapering · 8 points · 2 months ago

Stopped for cost reasons. Appetite came back at about week 17, well before the scale moved, exactly as this board said it would.

permalink

comment on [Results] 9 weeks on 7.5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/tapering · 4 points · 2 months ago

That reads as advice to stop, which is not something anyone here should be offering.

permalink

comment on [Results] 9 weeks on 7.5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/tapering · 46 points · 2 months ago

Push back: that is a taper schedule aimed at another member and this board does not host those.

permalink

comparing reta phase 2 to sema phase 3 is comparing different things

permalink

comment on help me understand retatrutide, I have read the wiki twice in c/retatrutide · 8 points · 4 months ago

Agreed on the heart-rate reports. They are consistent enough across the threads to be worth noting, not enough to be a finding.

permalink

comment on [Results] 49 weeks, 7kg, and dose escalation was the hard part in c/retatrutide · 16 points · 4 months ago

Disagree. "More receptors means more effect" is not how any of this works and the trial data does not support the linear story.

the withdrawal data is unambiguous and it is not about willpower

nothing here is available as a prescription product, so read every thread with that in mind

comment on dose escalation — my 2-week log, condensed into one table in c/retatrutide · 200 points · 6 months ago

Went up slowly, deliberately, because everything on this board says the escalation is where trouble lives. Uneventful so far and I am not going to pretend that is a finding.

comment on help me understand glucagon, I have read the wiki twice in c/retatrutide · 0 points · 7 months ago

Which phase 2 arm are you quoting, and at what week?

fabio_lehtinen is right about the escalation being the variable. It explains most of the difficult reports here.

Stopped reading the fastest posts here for a month and my mood improved considerably.

comment on [Question] TRIUMPH — what am I missing here in c/retatrutide · 765 points · 9 months ago

The thing that surprised me was how much of the discussion here is inference rather than measurement.

permalink

comment on [Question] TRIUMPH — what am I missing here in c/retatrutide · 154 points · 9 months ago

Correcting my own comment above: that figure was the 36-week interim, not the 48-week endpoint.

permalink

comment on [Question] TRIUMPH — what am I missing here in c/retatrutide · 242 points · 9 months ago

the glucagon component is why the metabolic story reads differently

Adding the standing caveat: none of this is approved anywhere and research material is not for human use.

permalink

comment on [Lab] ERP reta — PeptideMeter came back 98.9% against a claimed 98.0% in c/retatrutide · 44 points · 9 months ago

Correction: TRIUMPH is the phase 3 programme. The number you are quoting is from the phase 2 readout, which is a different trial.

permalink

comment on [PSA] tapering is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/tapering · -6 points · 11 months ago

Stopped abruptly once and gradually once. The gradual one was easier to interpret because I could see what was changing.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring TRIUMPH at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/retatrutide · 47 points · 11 months ago

Not convinced. You are attributing a week of nausea to the glucagon arm when the escalation rate alone would explain it.

Weighing under consistent conditions — same time, same state, same scale — removes most of the apparent variability people find distressing.

permalink

comment on the discontinuation thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/tapering · 11 points · 1 year ago

Stopped for cost reasons. Appetite came back at about week 2, well before the scale moved, exactly as this board said it would.

permalink

comment on goal — my 23-week log, condensed into one table in c/progresspics · 38 points · 1 year ago

Wrote down one non-scale thing every week.

Agreed — measurements over photographs, every time, for anybody trying to actually track something.
