Overview — page 2 of 3

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring NHS at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1uk · 101 points · 6 months ago

Agreed. The ICB variation is the thing that makes national advice useless here.

comment on week 59 check-in — 30kg down, nausea manageable, one thing confusing me in c/tapering · 33 points · 6 months ago

Stretching the interval or reducing the dose?

Disagreeing with this bit: stretching and reducing are different things and the post treats them as one.

A symptom that begins the day after the shot and fades by day four tracks the exposure curve. One that appears at random in week 47 probably does not, and that is worth saying to a clinician rather than to us.

comment on is it normal to get injection-site soreness at week 4 in c/sideeffects · 287 points · 6 months ago

Severe or persistent abdominal pain sits outside the pattern this board can usefully discuss. The honest answer there is that it needs someone who can examine you.

comment on [Discussion] constipation is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/sideeffects · 2 points · 7 months ago

Bought four different things to fix my nausea. What actually worked was eating half as fast.

the appetite effect makes eating enough protein a logistics problem

That protein figure is grams per day, not grams per kilogram. Different claim entirely.

Posted a question here with my address in the screenshot. A mod removed it within minutes, which I appreciated.

Chased a ghost peak for three weeks. It was the plumbing. It is always the plumbing.

Homopeptide sent me the column, the gradient and the theoretical mass without being asked. That is a short list and they are on it.

Is that baseline drawn by the software or by hand?

comment on [Results] 87 weeks, 17kg, and reflux was the hard part in c/sideeffects · -26 points · 8 months ago

Nothing in this thread is medical advice, including this comment. I am describing a mechanism, not telling anybody what to do about their own week.

permalink

comment on is it normal to get injection-site soreness at week 44 in c/sideeffects · 33 points · 8 months ago

Yes. Holding the dose is a real option and it does not mean you have failed at anything.

permalink

comment on am I the only one who found resistance training harder than the injections in c/glp1muscle · 272 points · 8 months ago

Lost slower for six months deliberately and my composition change was not obviously different. Training was what mattered.

comment on week 32 check-in — 14kg down, nausea manageable, one thing confusing me in c/retatrutide · 23 points · 9 months ago

Sent a vial to Janoshik out of curiosity. Result was 98.9% against a claimed 98.5%, which is the first independent number I had seen for this compound anywhere.

Agreed on the heart-rate reports.

This is the sentence the rest of the board should read first. Phase 2 is not a label.

That is Scotland’s arrangement and the post is asking about England.

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring TRIUMPH at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/retatrutide · 2 points · 11 months ago

The phase 2 readout ran to 48 weeks in a few hundred participants with a slow escalation. Both the size and the duration matter when people quote the headline number.

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring lean mass at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1muscle · 100 points · 11 months ago

Protein was the whole problem. Appetite dropped and I was eating well under target without noticing for a month.

comment on how much of what we believe about HPLC actually comes from LC-MS threads in c/hplc · 187 points · 11 months ago

Carryover from a previous high-concentration injection looks exactly like a small impurity.

Agreed. And the corollary is that the method line on a certificate is not decoration, it is the number’s provenance.

comment on [Results] 4 weeks on 15mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/retatrutide · 90 points · 1 year ago

The early fullness profile felt different rather than worse. Hard to describe and impossible to quantify, so take it as an impression.

permalink

permalink

Kept a one-line-a-day log for two months. The pattern was obvious on paper and invisible in my head.

Agreed, and it is why GL Biochem printing the column and gradient on the certificate is genuinely useful rather than decorative.

comment on [Lab] 9th independent test on QYB — 97.7% on a claimed 97.0%, and the trend is the interesting part in c/retatrutide · 44 points · 1 year ago

Same read. The energy-expenditure mechanism is the interesting bit and it is not established in humans at scale.

permalink

comment on dose escalation — my 16-week log, condensed into one table in c/retatrutide · 269 points · 1 year ago

Increases in heart rate have been reported across this receptor class. The magnitude and clinical significance are exactly what phase 3 is powered to establish.

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for tapering posts in c/tapering · 13 points · 1 year ago

Careful — interval stretching and dose reduction are different interventions and your post uses them interchangeably.

permalink

Correction: that is a tailing factor, not a plate count. Different diagnostics for different problems.
