comment on went too fast on reta and my resting HR told me before i noticed in c/retatrutide · 110 points · 1 days ago

Right, and it bears repeating that nothing here is approved anywhere and research material is not for human use.

comment on [Trial Data] what the STEP 4 and SURMOUNT-4 withdrawal arms actually showed in c/tapering · 5 points · 4 days ago

the withdrawal data is unambiguous and it is not about willpower

permalink

comment on peak at 4.2 min, nobody can tell me what it is, ideas in c/hplc · 5 points · 5 days ago

area percent is relative to what the detector saw and nothing else

permalink

comment on [Regain] appetite came back over five weeks, here is the timeline in c/tapering · 4 points · 12 days ago

What are you planning to watch for, and over what period?

permalink

comment on [PSA] dizzy on standing? check whether your BP meds are now too strong in c/sideeffects · 71 points · 14 days ago

Agreed. Slowing down at meals did more for my reflux than everything I bought to fix it, which was embarrassing to discover.

permalink

comment on [Lab] LC-MS confirmed identity but the UV purity is 94%. now what in c/hplc · 38 points · 15 days ago

Can you post the trace with the axes labelled?

Adding one practical thing — run the blank. It answers this before anyone has to argue about it.

permalink

comment on [Question] creatine while eating 1,400 calories — worth it in c/glp1muscle · 1 points · 18 days ago

Yes. Nobody here is prescribing training or nutrition and the good posts say so.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] glucagon is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/retatrutide · 1 points · 25 days ago

a lot of the confident posting here is extrapolation

permalink

comment on [Meta] the NHS rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/glp1uk · -28 points · 1 months ago

Concentrations can differ between products and between pharmacies. Switching mid-titration means redoing the arithmetic rather than carrying the old unit count across.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about import until somebody posts a number in c/customs · 1 points · 1 months ago

if it matters, ask somebody qualified in your own jurisdiction

permalink

comment on [Discussion] the seizure advice in here is 3 years out of date in c/customs · 2 points · 1 months ago

Agreed. Jurisdiction is the whole answer here and threads that skip it produce confidently wrong advice.

permalink

comment on week 21 check-in — 8kg down, fatigue manageable, one thing confusing me in c/retatrutide · 62 points · 1 months ago

This. The phase 2 result was genuinely large and it was also 48 weeks in a few hundred people.

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about heart rate actually comes from sulphur burps threads in c/sideeffects · 41 points · 1 months ago

Agreed on writing it down. I could not see the pattern until I had six weeks of it on one page.

permalink

comment on reflux — 18 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 2 months ago

reflux for the first eight days after each step, then nothing, every single time. Predictable enough that I started planning my week around it.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] the heart rate advice in here is 2 years out of date in c/sideeffects · 19 points · 2 months ago

Severe, or unpleasant? They are genuinely different questions and the answers diverge.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about regain until somebody posts a number in c/tapering · 8 points · 2 months ago

Withdrawal studies across this class consistently show substantial regain after discontinuation, with appetite typically returning before weight chang

Disagreeing with this bit: stretching and reducing are different things and the post treats them as one.

permalink

comment on dose escalation is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/retatrutide · 1 points · 2 months ago

Are you tracking heart rate at all?

permalink

comment on [Results] 9 weeks on 7.5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/tapering · 1 points · 2 months ago

Correction: that study measured regain after discontinuation, not loss of effect during treatment. Very different findings.

permalink

comment on [Results] 9 weeks on 7.5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/tapering · 317 points · 2 months ago

Appetite is the proximal effect and weight is the lagging integrated outcome, which is why watching appetite gives you an earlier and more honest signal.

permalink

comment on help me understand declared value, I have read the wiki twice in c/customs · 46 points · 3 months ago

Agreed on asking what documentation accompanies a shipment. Suppliers who ship regionally usually have a clear answer.

permalink

comment on stalled for 11 weeks at 15mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/tapering · 335 points · 3 months ago

Withdrawal studies across this class consistently show substantial regain after discontinuation, with appetite typically returning before weight changes. That is a description of the pharmacology of a chronic condition.

permalink

comment on constipation: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/sideeffects · 17 points · 3 months ago

That reads like advice, and none of us can give it. Describe what you did, not what somebody else should do.

permalink

comment on reading seizure threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/customs · 7 points · 3 months ago

declared value and description are the shipper’s decisions, ask what they use

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify gallbladder in c/sideeffects · 11 points · 3 months ago

How long has it been going on for now?

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify gallbladder in c/sideeffects · -22 points · 3 months ago

Nobody warned me about constipation and I would have liked the warning. It was not dangerous, it was just deeply unpleasant and completely unexpected.

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for integration posts in c/hplc · 42 points · 4 months ago

Mass spectrometry answers identity. UV purity answers relative quantity under the run conditions. A document with one and not the other is answering half the question, and the half it answers should be stated.

permalink

comment on anyone else notice fatigue kicking in around week 46 in c/sideeffects · 40 points · 4 months ago

the sulphur burps that arrives at week 89 out of nowhere is usually something else

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify resistance training in c/glp1muscle · 112 points · 4 months ago

strength retention is a decent proxy and it is free

permalink

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about import is guesswork in c/customs · 19 points · 4 months ago

Correction: that is a request for information, not a seizure notice. Different document, different process, different deadline.

permalink

comment on help me understand tier 3, I have read the wiki twice in c/glp1uk · 1 points · 4 months ago

How long have you been on the list, and from what date?

permalink

comment on help me understand tier 3, I have read the wiki twice in c/glp1uk · 48 points · 4 months ago

The online consultation asked me three questions, none of them about my history. I did not go ahead.

permalink

comment on what would you tell week-1 you about heart rate in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 5 months ago

holding a dose an extra month is a legitimate answer to bad tolerance

permalink

comment on [Results] 88 weeks on 2.4mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/retatrutide · 668 points · 5 months ago

wait for phase 3 before you argue about rankings

permalink

comment on the private prescription thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/glp1uk · 1 points · 5 months ago

GP said no and specialist said yes is a very common sequence

permalink

comment on genuine question about chromatogram that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/hplc · 0 points · 5 months ago

Reading a trace posted here, in the order I actually look at things.

Disagreeing with this bit: that spread is ordinary inter-lab variance, not a disagreement about the material.

comment on [Lab] WXT reta — PeptideMeter came back 97.1% against a claimed 97.0% in c/retatrutide · 144 points · 5 months ago

Sent a vial to Medutest out of curiosity. Result was 98.0% against a claimed 97.5%, which is the first independent number I had seen for this compound anywhere.

permalink

comment on [Lab] WXT reta — PeptideMeter came back 97.1% against a claimed 97.0% in c/retatrutide · -21 points · 5 months ago

Stopped at a low step because there was no reason to go further and no data to tell me what further would do.

heart rate is the thing people report watching

Disagree with this specific inference. A 48-week readout does not tell you the shape of the curve after it.
