comment on [Results] 45 weeks, 14kg, and tirzepatide was the hard part in c/tirzepatide · 267 points · 3 months ago

That percentage is body weight change, not body fat. Different measurement, and the distinction gets lost every time.

That is not what the method line says. It names the technique; it does not certify the operator.

That is the catalogue certificate rather than the batch-specific one. Same layout, completely different status.

My first certificate had a compound name, a percentage and a logo. I thought that was normal. It is not, and now I know what to ask for.

Fat-free mass index is a ratio of fat-free mass to height squared. It moves when either term does, which makes it awkward to interpret during active weight change.

comment on [Results] 86 weeks on 10mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/bloodwork · 16 points · 4 months ago

Took a baseline the week before starting purely because this board told me to. Best five minutes I have spent on this.

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify moderation in c/meta · 26 points · 4 months ago

Vendor source pages carry an outbound link to the supplier’s own storefront, marked nofollow and sponsored, disclosed on the page and again on the funding page. Nothing is received for it.

That is an authorisation question and you have answered a reimbursement one. They are decided by different bodies.

this place sells nothing and takes nothing from any supplier

comment on [Question] dual agonist — what am I missing here in c/tirzepatide · 2 points · 5 months ago

Week 93 was the first time the scale moved after a five-week stall. I changed nothing in that window.

Reference intervals are typically the central 95% of a reference population. By construction one person in twenty falls outside one on any given test without anything being wrong.

comment on [PSA] DEXA is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/glp1muscle · 17 points · 7 months ago

Small fix — that is fat-free mass, not muscle mass. The scan cannot separate them the way the post assumes.

Have you asked the supplier what they declare?

Moderation of individual cases happens in modmail rather than in threads, because a public discussion of one person’s removal is worse for that person than a private one.

Asked for the storage condition behind the stability statement. Got it in a sentence. It is a two-line email and almost nobody sends it.

Lyophilisation removes the water that drives most degradation pathways. That is why the dry cake is comparatively robust and the reconstituted solution is not.

Correcting myself above: the transit was 10 days, not the figure I posted.

Disagreeing with this line only: freezing a reconstituted vial is not a safe default.

ismael_varga is right that the strict evidence rule is the asset, not the friction.

Pushing back a little: a missing field is usually presentation, not concealment. Ask for the full document before drawing conclusions.

comment on is it normal to get constipation at week 87 in c/tirzepatide · 23 points · 11 months ago

Push back: "gentler than sema" is a population statement. Plenty of people on this board have the opposite experience and they are not doing it wrong.

Ask what the stability statement was written against — temperature, light, and whether it was the lyophilised powder or the reconstituted solution. Those are three different claims.

permalink

comment on someone explain 15mg to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/tirzepatide · 50 points · 1 year ago

Cosigning the four-week thing. It is a minimum interval, and treating it as a schedule to keep up with is how people end up miserable at 12.5.

permalink

comment on the baseline labs thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/bloodwork · 1 points · 1 year ago

ApoB counts atherogenic particles rather than the cholesterol they carry, which is why it can diverge from LDL-C and why it is the addition most worth

Adding the obvious one — take it to whoever ordered the panel. This board cannot read it for you.

28kg over 59 weeks, never went past 10mg, and sulphur burps stayed mild the whole way. Posting because the loud threads are all 15mg.

What is the waist doing? That is usually the number still moving during a scale stall.

Same view. SSA prints the column and the gradient, which means somebody could actually reproduce the run.
