comment on mechanism is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/glp1science · 1 points · 3 months ago

Cosigning on GIP. The genuinely interesting thing is that the biology is not settled and the clinical result is nonetheless robust.

Escrow is not standard in this space. Wanting it is reasonable; expecting it as default is not.

Cosigning on GIP.

Disagreeing with this specific inference — that is a preclinical result being read as human pharmacology.

What lead time were you quoted at checkout?

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify pharmacology in c/glp1science · 40 points · 3 months ago

incretin effect first, then everything else in this board makes sense

permalink

comment on does 503B actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/compounding · 8 points · 3 months ago

Small fix — 503B facilities register with the regulator; 503A pharmacies are licensed by the state board. Different mechanisms.

comment on how much of what we believe about transit time actually comes from reship threads in c/intlshipping · 158 points · 4 months ago

Was it shipped from a regional warehouse or from origin?

permalink

comment on genuine question about moderation that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/meta · 1 points · 4 months ago

removals get explained publicly where the rule allows it

permalink

comment on [Meta] the mechanism rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/glp1science · 8 points · 4 months ago

Push back: a receptor being expressed in a tissue does not tell you the agonist reaches it at therapeutic exposure.

comment on three years of MHRA threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/glp1uk · 4 points · 5 months ago

the MHRA supply notices are published, read them before the panic threads

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about prior authorization in c/insurancefights · 1 points · 5 months ago

Correction: that is a formulary exclusion, not a prior authorisation denial. Different form, different route, different deadline.

comment on the private prescription thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/glp1uk · 19 points · 5 months ago

Have you seen the current threshold published by your ICB?

comment on [Lab] 12th independent test on SGN — 98.1% on a claimed 98.0%, and the trend is the interesting part in c/bpc157 · 43 points · 5 months ago

Agreed — cheap to make is a double-edged fact and it explains a lot about this corner of the market.

match the address character by character, or paste and verify

comment on [Question] network — what am I missing here in c/cryptopay · 55 points · 5 months ago

Was there a memo or tag requirement on that chain?

permalink

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring NHS at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1uk · 23 points · 6 months ago

A private prescription is an independent route: it does not affect NHS list position, and it is not a step in the same pathway.

comment on stalled for 21 weeks at 2.4mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/semaglutide · 182 points · 6 months ago

Research-use-only material is not approved for human use, so anything in this thread about how a compounded or research vial "should" behave is a chemistry discussion, not a dosing one.

comment on [Question] Australia — has anyone got a straight answer on tier 3 in c/glp1uk · 1 points · 6 months ago

Small fix — that is the Scottish pathway. The post is asking about England and the answer is different.

Did protein intake change in the same window?

permalink

preclinical enthusiasm is not clinical evidence

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify wiki in c/meta · 34 points · 7 months ago

Feed position is a function of early votes and time. That structurally favours agreeable early answers over correct late ones, which is why sorting by controversial occasionally is worth the effort.

comment on [Question] Ireland — has anyone got a straight answer on 503B in c/compounding · 46 points · 7 months ago

Nothing in this thread is medical advice, and the choice between arrangements is one for you and a prescriber who knows your history.

comment on [Question] Ireland — has anyone got a straight answer on 503B in c/compounding · 15 points · 7 months ago

What is the beyond-use date and what is it based on?

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for incretin posts in c/glp1science · 26 points · 7 months ago

The incretin effect is the observation that oral glucose provokes a larger insulin response than intravenous glucose at matched glycaemia, and the difference is mediated by gut hormones. That is the foundation the whole class sits on.

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for 2.4mg posts in c/semaglutide · 11 points · 7 months ago

Sat at 1.0mg for four months because it was doing the job. Everyone told me to go up. The one time I did, the only thing that changed was the early fullness.

First month I lost almost nothing and nearly quit. Month two and three were where it all happened.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] the shortage list advice in here is 3 years out of date in c/compounding · 47 points · 8 months ago

Correction: patient-specific refers to the prescription, not to a bespoke formulation. Common misreading and it changes the argument.

comment on private prescription — 20 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/glp1uk · 40 points · 9 months ago

The online consultation asked me three questions, none of them about my history. I did not go ahead.

Yes — the consultation that asks nothing tells you what kind of service it is.

permalink

comment on my ALT moved and I cannot work out whether dual agonist is why in c/survodutide · 19 points · 10 months ago

Yes — nothing containing this is approved anywhere, which is the first fact and usually the last one mentioned.

Are you reading the publication or a summary?

permalink

permalink

comment on someone explain chargeback to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/cryptopay · 103 points · 12 months ago

I would not treat a delayed confirmation as evidence of anything at all. Chains have busy hours.

Push back: your plan is an employer plan, which changes both the appeal path and who the regulator is.
