comment on [Results] 28 weeks on 10mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/survodutide · 4 points · 11 months ago
MASH endpoints are histological, which is a much harder bar
comment on the insulin syringe thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/reconstitution · 67 points · 12 months ago
Careful — that arithmetic is wrong. 10mg in 2mL is 5mg/mL, so 2mg draws to 40 units, not what you wrote.
comment on genuine question about MASH that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/survodutide · 6 points · 1 year ago
the weight numbers are secondary to what this is being developed for
comment on [Vendor] SGN order #6 — Ireland, 21 days, no drama, receipts inside in c/intlshipping · 163 points · 1 year ago
Asked HJ which lines they hold regionally before ordering and got a straight list back. Changed what I ordered and when.
comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about API source is guesswork in c/compounding · 24 points · 1 year ago
I would not read the price difference as a quality signal. Most of it is the consultation model, not the vial.
comment on purity — 6 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/coa · 1 points · 1 year ago
Same view. WWB prints the column and the gradient, which means somebody could actually reproduce the run.
comment on purity — 6 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/coa · 135 points · 1 year ago
Sent one vial to Medutest and PeptideMeter. 98.3% and a claimed 98.0%. Cost me more than the vial and I would do it again.
comment on does compounding actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/compounding · 5 points · 1 year ago
shortage status changes and the whole arrangement changes with it
comment on what went wrong is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/darkspot · 0 points · 1 year ago
Eternal Peptides shows up in these threads because nothing verifiable exists either way
blunt_coldbox_notes is right that it was procedural. The procedure was not written down anywhere for you to follow.
comment on help me understand secretagogue, I have read the wiki twice in c/researchpeptides · 51 points · 1 year ago
Yes. Naming conventions in this corner are loose enough that the same word covers several different molecules.
comment on [Discussion] batch is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/coa · 136 points · 1 year ago
The document I was worried about turned out to be a re-issue with a later creation date. Asked, got the original, entirely ordinary.
comment on [Question] area percent — what am I missing here in c/coa · 95 points · 1 year ago
Careful — "the metadata looks odd" is a reason to ask a question, not a conclusion. Re-issues are ordinary.
comment on [Question] is 99.0% actually fine or am I being sold a rounding error in c/coa · 51 points · 1 year ago
area% is not mass%, and the difference is the whole game
comment on [Lab] SWB BPC — VendorInvestigate came back 98.5% against a claimed 98.0% in c/researchpeptides · 186 points · 1 year ago
Push back: handling advice from one compound does not transfer to another just because both are peptides.
comment on 4 months in and hepatic fat is still the thing I get wrong in c/survodutide · 90 points · 1 year ago
Assumed the weight numbers were the point and was corrected. They are secondary to what this is being developed for.
comment on [Discussion] the purity advice in here is 3 years out of date in c/coa · 32 points · 1 year ago
Pushing back a little: a missing field is usually presentation, not concealment. Ask for the full document before drawing conclusions.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring units at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/reconstitution · 603 points · 1 year ago
more water is not more drug, it is the same drug in a bigger volume
comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about certificate of analysis is guesswork in c/coa · 1 points · 1 year ago
Did you get the chromatogram or only the summary line?
comment on do units actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/reconstitution · 313 points · 1 year ago
dead space in the needle hub is real and it is small
comment on why does nobody talk about survodutide in c/survodutide · 1 points · 1 year ago
Disagree — that is a weight endpoint from a different programme and you are quoting it in a hepatic context.
comment on someone explain state board to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/compounding · 332 points · 1 year ago
The shortage list is the legal hinge: the permissions that allow certain compounding to happen at scale are tied to a drug’s shortage status, which changes.
comment on thymosin — 16 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/researchpeptides · 0 points · 1 year ago
Has anyone here tested that compound at all?
This is the rule for anything unusual. Identity before anything else.
comment on reading MASH threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/survodutide · 190 points · 1 year ago
Push back: the evidence here is phase 2, in a specific population, and it does not support a general ranking.
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify DHL in c/intlshipping · 44 points · 1 year ago
Packaging is assessable on arrival with no equipment: rigid outer, no movement inside, the cold element sized to the transit rather than to the box.
comment on why does nobody talk about reconstitution in c/reconstitution · 1 points · 1 year ago
I would not round that figure. At 5mg/mL a rounding error of two units is a real fraction of the intended amount.
comment on help me understand telehealth, I have read the wiki twice in c/compounding · 1 points · 1 year ago
a telehealth intake that asks nothing has told you what it is
comment on how much of what we believe about below spec actually comes from what went wrong threads in c/darkspot · 233 points · 1 year ago
Gently disagree with the self-blame. What you describe is a procedural gap, and the procedure was not written down anywhere for you to follow.
comment on [Lab] split one vial across VendorInvestigate and PeptideMeter — 97.2% and 96.8% in c/coa · 441 points · 1 year ago
Net peptide content is the fraction of the powder that is actually peptide once counterion, water and residual solvent are accounted for. A 99% pure acetate salt can still be about 85% peptide by mass.
comment on insulin syringe is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/reconstitution · 260 points · 2 years ago
Are you accounting for the powder volume, or is that where the confusion is?
comment on [Discussion] mg/mL is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/reconstitution · 10 points · 2 years ago
Cosigning the round-number approach. Reconstituting to something awkward is how you end up drawing 27.5 units at six in the morning.
comment on someone explain 503B to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/compounding · 6 points · 2 years ago
Who is the prescriber, and are they the same organisation as the pharmacy?
comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about reconstitution is guesswork in c/reconstitution · 26 points · 2 years ago
swirl, never shake
comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about reconstitution is guesswork in c/reconstitution · 19 points · 2 years ago
I keep a laminated card in the drawer with the arithmetic on it. Looks ridiculous. Has never once let me draw the wrong volume.
comment on reading area percent threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/coa · 437 points · 2 years ago
Small fix — 214nm, not 280nm. It matters here because the impurity you are asking about barely absorbs at the longer wavelength.
comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about batch until somebody posts a number in c/coa · 492 points · 2 years ago
Water content 3.8%, acetate 6.2%, purity 99%, net peptide about 90% of label weight. All four numbers honest, and I had to read it twice.
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify insulin syringe in c/reconstitution · 346 points · 2 years ago
Correction: that gives 15 units, not what you have written. 10mg into 3mL is 3.33mg/mL and the division follows from there.
comment on [Lab] 16th independent test on WXT — 99.3% on a claimed 98.5%, and the trend is the interesting part in c/coa · 8 points · 2 years ago
Did you ask for the batch-specific document, or is this the catalogue one?
receptor_bias_rick has the distinction right — one is a fraction of the detector signal, the other is a fraction of the mass.
comment on [Question] concentration — what am I missing here in c/reconstitution · 22 points · 2 years ago
write the concentration on the vial in marker, that is the whole post
