comment on [Log] week 78, dose, weight, waist, sides, labs. nothing hidden. in c/dosinglogs · 11 points · 2 days ago
one line a week beats a spreadsheet you abandon

Cosigning on missed weeks. Leaving them blank makes the whole series misleading.
comment on [Update] week 12 — the honest version, including the two missed doses in c/dosinglogs · 2 points · 11 days ago
Attribution requires that one thing change at a time. A log with dose, training and intake all moving in the same fortnight cannot assign anything to any of them.
comment on [PSA] hypoglycaemia is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/t2dglp1 · 4 points · 1 months ago
check the trial population before quoting a result at somebody
comment on what changed for me between month 9 and month 13 in c/dosinglogs · 1 points · 1 months ago
A log is a record of what you did. It is not a protocol, and posting one as a schedule for other members is a different thing that this board does not do.
comment on how much of what we believe about copay actually comes from appeal threads in c/insurancefights · 19 points · 1 months ago
A denial letter is required to state a reason and to reference the criterion applied. That reference is the handle: request the clinical policy document by its identifier and answer it point by point.
comment on dose history is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/dosinglogs · 6 points · 1 months ago
a missed week is data, write it down
comment on the denial question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/insurancefights · 20 points · 2 months ago
Yes — quoting their own policy bulletin back at them is far more effective than arguing in general terms.
comment on is it normal to get nausea at week 48 in c/dosinglogs · 59 points · 2 months ago
retrospective logs drift, contemporaneous ones do not
comment on appeal is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/insurancefights · 27 points · 3 months ago
Small fix — external review is independent of the plan. The second-level internal appeal is not.
comment on [Discussion] the log advice in here is 3 years out of date in c/dosinglogs · 0 points · 3 months ago
A log is only interpretable if the conditions are consistent. Same day, same time, same state, same scale — otherwise you are recording measurement variability rather than change.
comment on [Meta] the log rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/dosinglogs · 7 points · 4 months ago
write the concentration in the log too
comment on [Meta] the log rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/dosinglogs · 7 points · 4 months ago
Is the concentration recorded anywhere in the log?

Same conditions each time for the weigh-in?
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify copay in c/insurancefights · 94 points · 9 months ago
Not convinced. That is a formulary exclusion rather than a prior authorisation denial, and the route to challenge it is different.
comment on how much of what we believe about CGM actually comes from T2D threads in c/t2dglp1 · 13 points · 10 months ago
Postprandial excursions typically respond earlier than fasting glucose, so the sequence people observe is not a sign that something is not working.
comment on switched from 1.0mg to 2.4mg and food noise got better, not worse in c/dosinglogs · 0 points · 1 year ago
Careful — posting a log as a schedule for other people to follow is not what this board is for.
Disagreeing with this bit: daily weighing gives you noise and costs you something.
comment on [Question] copay — what am I missing here in c/insurancefights · 2 points · 1 year ago
appeal in writing even when they say a call is enough
comment on is it normal to get food noise at week 63 in c/dosinglogs · 13 points · 1 year ago
Not convinced by the retrospective reconstruction. Memory smooths things and the smoothing is systematic.
comment on my ferritin moved and I cannot work out whether tracking is why in c/dosinglogs · 67 points · 1 year ago
waist monthly, weight weekly, notes whenever
comment on reading prior authorization threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/insurancefights · 23 points · 1 year ago

postprandial excursions are where most of the improvement shows up first

Panicked over a first-day sensor reading and rebuilt my week around it. It was the sensor.
comment on genuine question about weekly update that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/dosinglogs · 14 points · 1 year ago
Wrote the concentration into the log as well as on the vial. Have referred back to it more than once.
comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about CGM is guesswork in c/t2dglp1 · 3 points · 1 year ago
Disagreeing with this line: that endpoint is from the obesity programme and does not answer the question.
Agreed, and the glucose-dependence point is the reason the risk profile reads the way it does.
comment on someone explain prior authorization to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/insurancefights · 11 points · 2 years ago
New plan year, entirely new criteria, and the denial that had been immovable in the autumn simply did not apply in January.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring external review at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/insurancefights · 16 points · 2 years ago
Correction: that is a formulary exclusion, not a prior authorisation denial. Different form, different route, different deadline.
