comment on [Delay] two weeks in a transit hub, then delivered fine in c/intlshipping · 1 points · 3 days ago

Cosigning the seasonality point. February and August on the same lane are different animals.

comment on [Announcement] c/labresults now requires the standard template in c/meta · 2 points · 3 days ago

Yes — a proposal with concrete wording gets discussed. A complaint about the rules in general does not.

comment on [Sceptic] the tendon claims outran the evidence by about a decade in c/bpc157 · 4 points · 3 days ago

Yes. Nothing here is approved for human use and that should be the first line of every thread, not the last.

comment on [Lab] three BPC vials, three vendors, purity all over the place in c/bpc157 · 7 points · 3 days ago

pentadecapeptide, fifteen residues, and the sequence is public

This is the point that should be at the top of every thread here. Identity first.

comment on [Question] metformin alongside — keep it or drop it in c/t2dglp1 · 1 points · 4 days ago

Continuous monitoring shows the shape: postprandial excursions, overnight behaviour and time in range. Two people with identical A1c can have very different distributions.

comment on [Discussion] should c/progresspics stay text-only forever (yes) in c/meta · 2 points · 18 days ago

Checked the sponsor disclosure because I assumed it would be vague. It was extremely specific and slightly boring.

the disclosure is boring because it has to be

Disagreeing with this bit: making individual cases public by default is worse for the person being moderated.

chain_confirm_c is right that the strict evidence rule is the asset, not the friction.

comment on [Discussion] regulatory is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/bpc157 · 1 points · 2 months ago

research-use-only means not approved for human use, and here that covers everything

reship policy in writing before you order

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about transit time until somebody posts a number in c/intlshipping · 8 points · 2 months ago

16 days on a lane quoted at 18 is the shape you want

permalink

comment on [Question] New Zealand — has anyone got a straight answer on lane in c/intlshipping · 49 points · 3 months ago

Push back: comparing a July transit with a February one on the same lane is not a comparison.

comment on [Results] 19 weeks, 7kg, and food noise was the hard part in c/semaglutide · 18 points · 4 months ago

Cosigning. The appetite change and the scale change ran about three weeks apart for me too.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify moderation in c/meta · 89 points · 4 months ago

Feed position is a function of early votes and time. That structurally favours agreeable early answers over correct late ones, which is why sorting by controversial occasionally is worth the effort.

comment on carrier — 23 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/intlshipping · 167 points · 5 months ago

Same. GL Biochem quoted 4 days on my lane and it landed at 16, which is exactly what you want from a quote.

the ladder exists because the gut needs the time, not because the pharmacy likes paperwork

comment on titration is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/semaglutide · 2 points · 6 months ago

Are you measuring anything other than weight? Waist is usually the one that keeps moving.

do not chase somebody else’s titration schedule, they are not you

constipation made the first fortnight rough at each step up, then flattened out. Predictable enough that I started planning around it.

comment on week 39 check-in — 12kg down, injection-site soreness manageable, one thing confusing me in c/bpc157 · 85 points · 8 months ago

Careful. Regulatory status differs by jurisdiction and has changed; a confident global statement is going to be wrong somewhere.

permalink

comment on [Results] 81 weeks, 20kg, and weekly dosing was the hard part in c/semaglutide · 79 points · 9 months ago

Weight change and appetite change are different endpoints on different timescales. Conflating them is where most of the confusion on this board starts.

permalink

comment on [Lab] 8th independent test on MKM — 97.9% on a claimed 97.5%, and the trend is the interesting part in c/semaglutide · 0 points · 9 months ago

Careful. A four-week stall is inside normal variation and treating it as failure is how people escalate for no reason.

comment on tried food noise for 14 weeks. here is what happened. in c/semaglutide · 51 points · 10 months ago

Small correction: 2.4mg is the maintenance ceiling on the label, not the starting maintenance dose. The distinction matters for anyone reading this later.

if 0.5mg is working there is no prize for going up

two identical orders a week apart is the cheapest experiment available

comment on how much of what we believe about plateau actually comes from Ozempic threads in c/semaglutide · 615 points · 11 months ago

The weekly interval comes out of the half-life — roughly a week — so you are on a smooth curve rather than a series of spikes. That is also why moving your day slightly does very little.

comment on reading glycaemic control threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/t2dglp1 · 86 points · 11 months ago

permalink

comment on reship — 19 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/intlshipping · 301 points · 11 months ago

Regional stock replaces an international lane with a domestic one. That is a structural change to the distribution, not a marginal improvement, and it is why the warehouse question matters more than the carrier question.

Minor fix — the half-life is about a week, not about a day. The rest of your point stands.

That is a sensor value, not a plasma value, and the two are not interchangeable at that level of precision.

Disagree with loosening that. The evidence rule is why a supplier report here means something.
