comment on [Lane Report] Shanghai → UK, DHL, quoted 7 days, actual 9, cold pack solid in c/intlshipping · 19 points · 2 days ago

Agreed on rigid packaging. It costs the shipper almost nothing and it predicts a lot about the rest of the operation.

Packaging is assessable on arrival with no equipment: rigid outer, no movement inside, the cold element sized to the transit rather than to the box.

Yes — the interval is the finding. A point estimate with a wide interval is a hypothesis in a nice font.

comment on [Press Release] new phase 3 numbers, no publication yet, calm down in c/trialwatch · 7 points · 7 days ago

Correction: SURMOUNT is the obesity programme and SURPASS is the diabetes one. The figure you quoted belongs to the other one.

Relative risk reduction without the baseline rate is uninterpretable. A large relative reduction on a small absolute risk is a small absolute benefit.

comment on [Results] 56 weeks on 2.4mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/tapering · -21 points · 25 days ago

Had the conversation with a clinician before stopping rather than after. Considerably easier that way round.

Ordered under a name that turned out to cover two different molecules.

This is the rule for anything unusual. Identity before anything else.

Asked for identity confirmation on an unusual line and got a mass spectrum with the theoretical mass alongside. That is the answer I now look for everywhere.

comment on [PSA] research peptides are not what most of this community thinks it is in c/researchpeptides · 17 points · 1 months ago

Research-use-only material is not approved for human use. In this catalogue that covers essentially everything, which is why the board discusses material and analytics rather than outcomes.

This. Intention-to-treat versus completer analysis routinely moves the headline by several points.

Agreed — and the naming problem is worse than most people here realise.

Disagree with the framing. Regain is the documented outcome after discontinuation; calling it a personal failure is both wrong and corrosive.

Yes. Nobody here is paid and the disclosure page says so in tedious detail, which is the correct level of tedious.

Sent an unusual compound to VendorInvestigate because nobody on this site had ever posted one. 97.6% against a claimed 97.5%.

comment on does SELECT actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/trialwatch · -15 points · 2 months ago

Disagree — that figure is from the diabetes programme and you are quoting it as an obesity endpoint.

permalink

comment on [Results] 9 weeks on 7.5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/tapering · 7 points · 2 months ago

Careful — interval stretching and dose reduction are different interventions and your post uses them interchangeably.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] the endpoint advice in here is 3 years out of date in c/trialwatch · 18 points · 3 months ago

Agreed. Half the arguments on this site are two people quoting different trials at each other without noticing.

Careful — interval stretching and dose reduction are different interventions and your post uses them interchangeably.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about thymosin in c/researchpeptides · 152 points · 3 months ago

Careful — that is a claim about efficacy and there is essentially no human evidence behind it.

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify disclosure in c/meta · 6 points · 3 months ago

Vendor source pages carry an outbound link to the supplier’s own storefront, marked nofollow and sponsored, disclosed on the page and again on the funding page. Nothing is received for it.

Stopped for cost reasons. Appetite came back at about week 14, well before the scale moved, exactly as this board said it would.

That method was developed for a different compound class and would not resolve the impurities you are asking about.

Same view — strict evidence rules make this board slower and make the archive worth reading in three years.

Discontinuation rates are a tolerability result. A trial with a strong efficacy number and heavy discontinuation is telling you two things and people only quote one.
