comment on [Vendor] BCH vs KP on the same compound, same month — both cleared 98.5% in c/survodutide · 2 points · 3 months ago
the titration in the trials was slow and deliberate
comment on [Vendor] BCH vs KP on the same compound, same month — both cleared 98.5% in c/survodutide · 1 points · 3 months ago
Agreed. The hepatic programme is the point of this compound and the weight discussion is a side effect of the side effect.
comment on stalled for 11 weeks at 15mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/tapering · 4 points · 3 months ago
write down where you are before you change anything
comment on my hs-CRP moved and I cannot work out whether heart rate is why in c/sideeffects · 145 points · 3 months ago
Not convinced by that mechanism. Slowed gastric emptying explains fullness and reflux; it does not explain what you are describing.
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify gallbladder in c/sideeffects · 77 points · 3 months ago
How long after a step up did this start?
Disagreeing with this one line: that symptom is not on the wait-and-see list and should not be posted as though it is.
comment on sulphur burps are the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 4 months ago
Nothing in this thread is medical advice, including this comment. I am describing a mechanism, not telling anybody what to do about their own week.
comment on anyone else notice fatigue kicking in around week 46 in c/sideeffects · 59 points · 4 months ago
Same pattern here. It settled at a stable dose without me doing anything clever.
comment on how much of what we believe about private plan actually comes from Canada threads in c/glp1canada · 34 points · 4 months ago
Not convinced. A rejected claim at the counter is not a denied authorization and the next step differs.
comment on Mounjaro: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/tirzepatide · 10 points · 4 months ago
Sulphur burps for the first eight days after each step, then nothing. Predictable enough that I planned my week around it.
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify TGA in c/glp1aus · 15 points · 5 months ago
Compounded supply arrangements have changed materially in recent years. Advice predating that change describes a situation that no longer applies.
comment on what would you tell week-1 you about heart rate in c/sideeffects · 8 points · 5 months ago
reflux at night, try not eating in the three hours before bed
comment on how much of what we believe about cagrilintide actually comes from CagriSema threads in c/cagrilintide · 7 points · 6 months ago
Complementary mechanisms are the rationale for pairing: satiety signalling alongside incretin signalling, rather than more agonism at the same receptor.
comment on excursion — 20 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/coldchain · 59 points · 6 months ago
Correcting myself above: the transit was 9 days, not the figure I posted. Same conclusion, wrong number.
comment on excursion — 20 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/coldchain · 67 points · 6 months ago
That is the ambient temperature at the destination, not the temperature inside the box. The logger measures the second one.
comment on excursion — 20 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/coldchain · 44 points · 6 months ago
Yes — a logger in the box turns a fortnight of speculation into a chart.
comment on week 59 check-in — 30kg down, nausea manageable, one thing confusing me in c/tapering · 33 points · 6 months ago
Do you have a written baseline from before you started changing anything?
comment on week 59 check-in — 30kg down, nausea manageable, one thing confusing me in c/tapering · -6 points · 6 months ago
Stretched from seven days to ten to twelve over four months. Appetite told me where the limit was each time.
comment on switched from 0.25mg to 2.4mg and fatigue got better, not worse in c/sideeffects · 33 points · 6 months ago
nobody warns you about how much of this is timing rather than dose
comment on switched from 0.25mg to 2.4mg and fatigue got better, not worse in c/sideeffects · 3 points · 6 months ago
Correcting my own comment above: I said day three and my log says day two. Same pattern, wrong day.
comment on switched from 0.25mg to 2.4mg and fatigue got better, not worse in c/sideeffects · 8 points · 6 months ago
Small fix — the shedding follows the rate of weight loss, not the compound, and it is temporary.
switched from 0.25mg to 2.4mg and fatigue got better, not worse, which sounds obvious until you try to state the evidence for it. Pulling the figures out of the title:…
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring New Zealand at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1aus · 3 points · 6 months ago
Small fix — that is the New Zealand arrangement, and the question is about Australia.
comment on [Question] Mounjaro — what am I missing here in c/tirzepatide · 57 points · 6 months ago
Cosigning the four-week thing. It is a minimum interval, and treating it as a schedule to keep up with is how people end up miserable at 12.5.
comment on [Question] France — has anyone got a straight answer on packaging in c/coldchain · 14 points · 7 months ago
Yes — a logger in the box turns a fortnight of speculation into a chart.
comment on [Meta] the Zepbound rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/tirzepatide · 151 points · 7 months ago
I would separate the two claims. That the GIP arm exists is uncontroversial; that it explains your constipation pattern is a guess.
comment on help me understand shortage, I have read the wiki twice in c/glp1aus · 53 points · 7 months ago
Not convinced. That is the New Zealand position and the thread is asking about Australia.
comment on what would you tell week-1 you about reflux in c/sideeffects · 4 points · 7 months ago
Pushback: you changed the dose, the meal timing and the training in the same fortnight, so the attribution is guesswork.
Six-word version is the title — 37 weeks, 17kg, and appetite return was the hard part — and the rest is context. 37 weeks and 17kg — those are the numbers, and they are…
comment on [Lab] CPC orfo — Janoshik came back 98.3% against a claimed 97.5% in c/orforglipron · -21 points · 7 months ago
Daily rather than weekly sounds trivial until you think about what a missed dose means in each case.
comment on the Australia thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/glp1aus · -30 points · 7 months ago
the TGA shortage database is public and it is the source, not the news
comment on stalled for 12 weeks at 1.0mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/tapering · 1 points · 8 months ago
Cosigning that cost and supply are legitimate reasons. Most of the stopping threads here are one of those two.
comment on stalled for 12 weeks at 1.0mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/tapering · 3 points · 8 months ago
This. Decide in advance what you are watching for. Deciding in the middle of it is much harder.
comment on hepatic fat: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/survodutide · 99 points · 9 months ago
That figure is from the obesity programme, and this thread is about the hepatic one.
comment on Germany: lyophilised, and what it actually costs here in c/coldchain · -12 points · 9 months ago
Disagree with the panic framing. Lyophilised material tolerates ordinary transit conditions far better than these threads imply.
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify sulphur burps in c/sideeffects · 27 points · 10 months ago
smaller meals, earlier, is the boring advice that works
comment on my ALT moved and I cannot work out whether dual agonist is why in c/survodutide · 51 points · 10 months ago
This. Biopsy-confirmed and imaging-suggested are different evidentiary categories and get run together constantly.
comment on oral GLP-1 — 12 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/orforglipron · 7 points · 10 months ago
daily dosing, not weekly, so the exposure profile is different
comment on is it normal to get constipation at week 87 in c/tirzepatide · 127 points · 11 months ago
It is a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist, and the GIP arm is the part that has no equivalent in the semaglutide threads. That is why the side-effect profile reads differently rather than just milder.
comment on the GIP question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/tirzepatide · 39 points · 11 months ago
switching from sema is not a dose conversion, there is no clean equivalence
