comment on reading batch threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/coa · 5 points · 4 months ago

Correction: that is net peptide content, not purity. Different number, different meaning, and the document says so if you read the row label.

Pack sizes and presentations differ between member states, so a headline price is not comparable until it is normalised to a common quantity.

Agreed. The 503A versus 503B distinction changes who is allowed to make what, and almost every confused thread here starts by ignoring it.

comment on group buy — 11 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/scamalerts · 14 points · 7 months ago

Group buys concentrate custody, payment and communication in one person with no structure behind it.

Adding the practical version: buy small from anyone new, test it, then decide.

Cosigning the beyond-use date question. What it is based on tells you whether anybody has done stability work.

declared value and description are the shipper’s decision, ask what they use

That is a report count, not a test count, and it changes how thin the evidence base actually is.

Do you have anything in writing from before the payment?

Top Peptide gets named here constantly and there is nothing verifiable on file either way

Small fix — the name you are describing is in the wider-market table with almost nothing on file, not in the documented twenty.

Correction to my own post: it was my storage, not the shipment. Leaving the original up with this attached.

Is water content on the document? It changes your concentration arithmetic.

Split one order across two months on purpose to compare summer and winter. Four days apart, same carrier, same route.

comment on [PSA] fraud is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/scamalerts · 174 points · 1 year ago

Yes. The thin-evidence names in the directory are thin because nobody has anything on them, which is a different statement from a warning.

Cosigning the domain check. Character by character, every time, and paste it rather than typing it.

Escalating faster than the schedule allows is the most frequently described regret on the site, and the mechanism is straightforward: tolerance is the limiting factor and it does not care about impatience.

The document I was worried about turned out to be a re-issue with a later creation date. Asked, got the original, entirely ordinary.

Read the published reimbursement criteria where I live rather than asking. Took twenty minutes and answered everything.

Not quite. Two labs with different gradients can resolve a close-eluting impurity differently and both be reporting honestly.

That is the catalogue certificate rather than the batch-specific one. Same layout, completely different status.

On concentration, which is where I see people actually get hurt.

prior_auth_pain is right about the concentration trap. It breaks arithmetic that has been reliable for months.

comment on [Question] DHL — what am I missing here in c/intlshipping · 203 points · 1 year ago

Disagree. That is a customs hold, not a carrier delay, and lumping them together makes the lane table wrong.
