comment on week 45 check-in — 8kg down, sulphur burps manageable, one thing confusing me in c/maintenancephase · 1 points · 8 months ago

regain after stopping is the expected outcome, not a personal failure

comment on A1c: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/t2dglp1 · 9 points · 9 months ago

variability matters as much as the mean

comment on small win: hepatic fat stopped being a problem at week 91 in c/survodutide · 23 points · 9 months ago

Has anyone posted an independent purity result for this compound?

permalink

comment on the regain thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/maintenancephase · 43 points · 10 months ago

Drifted up 9kg over a winter and panicked. It came back off without any change, which is apparently just what weight does.

stopping for financial reasons is not a personal failure

comment on small win: nausea stopped being a problem at week 35 in c/sideeffects · 58 points · 10 months ago

Agreed on writing it down. I could not see the pattern until I had six weeks of it on one page.

eating slower does more than most of the supplements people recommend

comment on [Question] the UK — has anyone got a straight answer on New Zealand in c/glp1aus · 3 points · 10 months ago

Agreed — the database rather than the coverage, every time.

careful_gradient_again is right that the two countries are separate systems and the answers diverge.

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for dose stretching posts in c/maintenancephase · 444 points · 10 months ago

Appetite returning before the scale moves follows from the mechanism: the appetite effect is the proximal one and weight is the lagging integrated outcome.

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for New Zealand posts in c/glp1aus · 3 points · 11 months ago

The national shortage database is a primary source with expected resolution dates attached.

Disagreeing with this bit: that advice predates the change in compounded arrangements.

The rules where I live changed between two orders six months apart. Nothing was announced; I found out by reading.

comment on what would you tell week-1 you about CGM in c/t2dglp1 · 98 points · 1 year ago

That is a sensor value, not a plasma value, and the two are not interchangeable at that level of precision.

comment on help me understand Australia, I have read the wiki twice in c/glp1aus · 3 points · 1 year ago

Careful, personal importation provisions are narrow and specific and the general version circulating here is wrong.

permalink

comment on someone explain reflux to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/sideeffects · 27 points · 1 year ago

That symptom is not the one being described upthread. Two different things with similar names and the answers are not interchangeable.

comment on genuine question about dose stretching that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/maintenancephase · -20 points · 1 year ago

Is the goal weight still the one you picked at the start?

appetite returns before the scale acknowledges anything

comment on [Discussion] TGA is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/glp1aus · 14 points · 1 year ago

Read the published criteria for my indication rather than asking. Twenty minutes, and it answered everything I had been guessing at.

How long did it take you to notice?

permalink

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring TGA at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1aus · 40 points · 1 year ago

Same. Private pricing varies here as much as anywhere and people assume it is fixed.

permalink

comment on what changed for me between month 11 and month 20 in c/t2dglp1 · 52 points · 1 year ago

Postprandial excursions flattened out first and the fasting number took months to follow. Nobody had told me to expect that order.

Yes — the shortage database is the source. The news coverage of it is downstream and usually a week behind.

Nothing on this board is legal advice. Where a notice carries a deadline or a consequence, that is a matter for somebody qualified in your own jurisdiction.

Agreed — week two with nothing on the scale is so common it should be in the sidebar. It probably is.

That figure is a private price at one pharmacy, not a national one.

Right, and the diabetes programmes report glycaemic endpoints. Quoting an obesity trial result here is answering a different question.

Looked for independent results across this whole site and found almost none. Worth knowing before forming an opinion.

glucagon agonism and energy expenditure is the mechanistic thread

This is the framing the board needs. It is a hepatic programme first.

I would be careful here. "Everyone gets this" is not true, and it makes the people who get something unusual assume they are fine when they should be asking.
