comment on the Australia thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/glp1aus · 11 points · 7 months ago

The compounded arrangements changed while I was mid-thread and I was arguing from a superseded position.

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify fatigue in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 7 months ago

the first fortnight after a step is the worst of it, then it settles

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify heart rate in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 8 months ago

Mine settled at week 42 and has not come back since, across two more steps.

comment on switched from 0.5mg to 1.7mg and injection-site soreness got better, not worse in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 9 months ago

Correction: that is a known effect of reduced intake rather than a direct drug effect.

clara_weiss is right about the timing. The day-of-week pattern is the diagnostic bit, not the severity.

Potency and sterility testing on the finished preparation are separate from any certificate covering the starting material. Ask which you are being shown.

comment on small win: nausea stopped being a problem at week 35 in c/sideeffects · 38 points · 10 months ago

the first fortnight after a step is the worst of it, then it settles

permalink

comment on special authorization is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/glp1canada · 0 points · 11 months ago

Health Canada approval is not coverage

elin_varga is right that a rejected claim and a denied authorization are different animals.

permalink

comment on what would you tell week-1 you about failure in c/darkspot · 2 points · 11 months ago

Accused the wrong party publicly and it was my storage. Correcting it here was the most uncomfortable post I have made and the right one.

permalink

comment on nobody warned me about food noise and I would have liked the warning in c/sideeffects · 52 points · 12 months ago

nausea for the first eight days after each step, then nothing, every single time. Predictable enough that I started planning my week around it.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about formulary until somebody posts a number in c/glp1canada · 17 points · 1 year ago

Same view — private and provincial plans are genuinely different processes with different appeal routes.

permalink

comment on what changed for me between month 3 and month 7 in c/sideeffects · 93 points · 1 year ago

Nothing in this thread is medical advice, including this comment.

iman_falk is right about the timing. The day-of-week pattern is the diagnostic bit, not the severity.

comment on [Vendor] GL Biochem vs JEEP on the same compound, same month — both cleared 97.0% in c/darkspot · 32 points · 1 year ago

Escalating faster than the schedule allows is the most frequently described regret on the site, and the mechanism is straightforward: tolerance is the limiting factor and it does not care about impatience.

permalink

comment on does lost money actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/darkspot · 23 points · 1 year ago

Bulk Peptide Wholesale shows up in these threads because nothing verifiable exists either way

permalink

comment on the heart rate thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/sideeffects · 124 points · 1 year ago

fatigue plus low intake is usually just low intake

permalink

comment on the heart rate thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/sideeffects · 328 points · 1 year ago

Yes. Holding the dose is a real option and it does not mean you have failed at anything.

permalink

comment on the sulphur burps thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/sideeffects · 301 points · 1 year ago

Hair shedding after significant weight loss is a telogen effect that follows the rate of loss. It is not specific to these compounds and it resolves.

comment on [PSA] sulphur burps are not what most of this community thinks it is in c/sideeffects · 1.4k points · 1 year ago

Nothing in this thread is medical advice, including this comment. I am describing a mechanism, not telling anybody what to do about their own week.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] reflux is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/sideeffects · 617 points · 1 year ago

Small fix — the shedding follows the rate of weight loss, not the compound, and it is temporary.

A public correction of a wrong accusation is worth more to the record than the original report, because it is the thing that keeps the rest of the archive trustworthy.

going up too fast is the most repeated regret on this board

permalink

comment on the nausea thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/sideeffects · 77 points · 1 year ago

Correction: that is a known effect of reduced intake rather than a direct drug effect. The distinction matters because the fix is different.

Has anything else changed in the same window?

permalink

comment on the constipation question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 1 year ago

Agreed on writing it down.

Adding to this — holding the dose rather than stepping is the option people forget they have.

a rough fortnight at each step is normal, a rough three months is not

comment on the Canada thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/glp1canada · 5 points · 1 year ago

Formulary criteria are revised, and plan renewal is a natural point at which a previously refused request may succeed without anything about the applicant changing.

permalink

comment on three years of compounding threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/glp1aus · 25 points · 1 year ago

Not convinced. That is the New Zealand position and the thread is asking about Australia.

permalink

comment on the TGA question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/glp1aus · 27 points · 1 year ago

I would not treat one pharmacy’s quote as the national price. Variation between them is substantial.

permalink

comment on the TGA question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/glp1aus · 116 points · 1 year ago

the TGA shortage database is public and it is the source, not the news

permalink

comment on [Results] 92 weeks, 29kg, and heart rate was the hard part in c/sideeffects · 115 points · 1 year ago

Constipation is mostly reduced intake plus reduced fluid, not a direct effect. That is why the boring fibre and water answer keeps working.

permalink

comment on [Question] Australia — has anyone got a straight answer on state board in c/compounding · 0 points · 2 years ago

A beyond-use date derived from published stability data means something different from one assigned by default rule.

Adding one thing — ask for the facility name. Most will give it, and the ones that will not have answered you.

Read the special authorization criteria and wrote the application against them line by line. Approved first time after a previous refusal.

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about Australia actually comes from New Zealand threads in c/glp1aus · 338 points · 2 years ago

Subsidy criteria and authority requirements are published.

Agreed — the database rather than the coverage, every time.

the food noise going quiet is the effect people came for, and reflux is the toll for the first fortnight
