comment on [Warning] wrong network. $180 gone. test with $5 first. in c/cryptopay · 23 points · 1 days ago

Nearly sent on the wrong network. The token symbol was identical and the address format was the only clue.

comment on [Regulatory] 503A vs 503B in one paragraph, because everyone conflates them in c/compounding · 17 points · 2 days ago

Was there potency testing on the finished preparation, or only on the starting material?

permalink

comment on reconstituted at 1mL instead of 2mL and caught it before injecting. lucky. in c/reconstitution · 21 points · 18 days ago

if the maths gives you a fraction of a unit, change the concentration

permalink

comment on [Question] shortage list — what am I missing here in c/compounding · 40 points · 22 days ago

The intake asked me three questions and none of them were about my history. That told me everything I needed to know about the model.

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify confirmations in c/cryptopay · 3 points · 22 days ago

Small fix — that is the network fee, not a supplier charge. The distinction matters for the complaint you are making.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify confirmations in c/cryptopay · 2 points · 22 days ago

Correction: that address format is not the chain you named. Worth checking before anybody follows this.

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify confirmations in c/cryptopay · -11 points · 23 days ago

Pasted rather than typed the address, then checked the first and last six characters. Habit now.

comment on [Discussion] we talk about dose like it is a score and it is not in c/semaglutide · 25 points · 26 days ago

Agreed, and the bit people skip is that the ladder is a tolerance ladder. It is not a potency ranking.

ask the pharmacy what the cash price is, it varies

permalink

comment on [Meta] the compounding rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/compounding · 10 points · 1 months ago

What did the intake actually ask you?

permalink

comment on [Question] France — has anyone got a straight answer on telehealth in c/compounding · 1 points · 1 months ago

Asked for potency testing on the finished preparation. They had it. I had assumed they would not.

permalink

comment on [Question] France — has anyone got a straight answer on telehealth in c/compounding · 9 points · 1 months ago

Disagree — a 503B being registered does not make its preparations equivalent to an approved product. Different regulatory category entirely.

Cosigning the beyond-use date question. What it is based on tells you whether anybody has done stability work.

comment on tried Ozempic for 21 weeks. here is what happened. in c/semaglutide · 0 points · 2 months ago

That reads like a titration plan and this board cannot give you one. Somebody who actually knows your history has to.

permalink

comment on help me understand chargeback, I have read the wiki twice in c/cryptopay · 3 points · 2 months ago

the same token exists on several chains and they are not interchangeable

permalink

comment on [Question] API source — what am I missing here in c/compounding · 28 points · 2 months ago

salt forms are the recurring argument and the answer is boring

permalink

comment on help me understand special authorization, I have read the wiki twice in c/glp1canada · 6 points · 2 months ago

a rejected claim is not the same as a denied authorization

permalink

comment on genuine question about insulin syringe that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/reconstitution · 17 points · 3 months ago

Pushback on the syringe advice: a U-100 barrel reads units of volume. Calling them "doses" is how the confusion starts.

comment on [Discussion] the crypto advice in here is 3 years out of date in c/cryptopay · 1 points · 3 months ago

confirmations are the only status that means anything

permalink

comment on reading 503B threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/compounding · 48 points · 3 months ago

503A is patient-specific, 503B is outsourcing facility, they are not the same thing

permalink

comment on genuine question about concentration that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/reconstitution · 2 points · 3 months ago

Shook the first vial because nobody told me not to. It was fine, but I have swirled every one since.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] telehealth is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/compounding · 16 points · 5 months ago

I would not read the price difference as a quality signal. Most of it is the consultation model, not the vial.

comment on [Meta] the chargeback rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/cryptopay · 392 points · 6 months ago

A token symbol identifies an asset, not a network. The same symbol commonly exists on several chains with incompatible address formats, and sending across that boundary is generally unrecoverable.

comment on how much of what we believe about formulary actually comes from private plan threads in c/glp1canada · 5 points · 6 months ago

Provincial plan, employer plan, or paying cash?

permalink

comment on genuine question about private plan that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/glp1canada · 63 points · 7 months ago

Special authorization is a documented exception process with published criteria. Applications that answer those criteria explicitly, point by point, fare better than general clinical narratives.

comment on [Vendor] FGP order #23 — Germany, 12 days, no drama, receipts inside in c/cryptopay · 67 points · 7 months ago

Was there a memo or tag requirement on that chain?

permalink

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about Canada is guesswork in c/glp1canada · 11 points · 8 months ago

Disagree — that is your province’s formulary position and it does not carry to another.

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about concentration actually comes from mg/mL threads in c/reconstitution · 282 points · 8 months ago

Same. I got this wrong once, caught it because the units looked absurd, and have written on every vial since.

permalink

comment on the confirmations question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/cryptopay · 23 points · 8 months ago

Confirmation took forty minutes on a busy evening and I had already written half an angry message. Deleted it.

permalink

Criteria changed at plan renewal and the denial that had been immovable simply did not apply any more.

permalink

comment on the formulary question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/glp1canada · 15 points · 9 months ago

Spent three weeks on what turned out to be a quantity limit rather than a coverage question.

permalink

comment on [Results] 81 weeks, 20kg, and weekly dosing was the hard part in c/semaglutide · 1 points · 9 months ago

That figure is the 68-week trial mean, not a weekly rate. Dividing it by the weeks gives you a number that does not mean anything.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] Canada is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/glp1canada · 53 points · 9 months ago

Yes. Cash prices vary and comparing them before assuming coverage is the only route is worth doing.

Confirmations are the count of blocks built on top of the one containing your transaction. Until there are some, the transaction is not settled in any meaningful sense.

2.4 is a ceiling, not a target

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify units in c/reconstitution · 377 points · 10 months ago

Not quite. Bacteriostatic and sterile water are not interchangeable for a multi-draw vial, and the difference is the preservative.

permalink

comment on [Vendor] SWB order #6 — Ireland, 13 days, no drama, receipts inside in c/cryptopay · 3 points · 11 months ago

Right, and confirmations are the status. "Sent" means nothing until the chain agrees.
