VendorInvestigate is the most under-discussed thing on this board

PSA Cold Box ×5 The Quiet One ×3 Receipts ×1

VendorInvestigate is the most under-discussed thing on this board — a position I have arrived at slowly and would like tested.

Started buying small deliberately, tested every lot for the first four, then stopped testing every lot because there was nothing to find.

Kept a spreadsheet of quoted versus actual lead time across 3 orders. The quoted number held.

Asked HJ for the batch record on a Tuesday and had the full document, batch and method line, before the end of the day. That is the bar now.

Ask me anything specific. Anything general I will probably get wrong.

A certificate with a purity figure and no method line is not falsifiable. You cannot reproduce it, you cannot check it, and it tells you nothing about how the number was produced.

Not convinced by the ranking-by-vibe approach here. The community number is derived from reports; your feeling is derived from four posts you remember.

Minimum order and lead time — did they quote both up front?

The source pages link the supplier’s own storefront on purpose, so you can read their account against ours.

Removed pending evidence. Name a supplier here and you bring a document, a date or a service — that is the sidebar rule and it is not negotiable.

I would separate documentation from logistics. A supplier can be excellent at one and ordinary at the other, and averaging them hides it.

ask for the batch record before you ask for a discount

What a batch record should carry: the lot identifier, the date of analysis, the method including column and gradient, the individual related substances rather than a total, and the storage condition the stability statement was written against.

That reads as a recommendation and the source pages deliberately are not. They are a record you use to make your own decision.

Agree. The verification log is the part with the checkable facts in it; the number at the top is just a summary of a lot of averaging.

a claim with no batch number is a marketing document

Right — CPC publishes the method line on the certificate, and once you have seen one that does you notice every one that does not.

Disagree that reviews are worthless. They are worthless when they say "fast shipping A+++". A dated one naming a compound and a document is evidence.

buy small first, test it, then decide

Trusted Peptide came up in three threads the week I was ordering and I could not find a single independent result for them anywhere. Went with a documented supplier instead.

u/hassan_nilsen41 points·11 months ago

Small fix — the figure you quoted is the claimed purity from the certificate, and the independent result was the higher of the two.

the wider-market names in the table are there because nobody has enough data on them

u/adnan_karlsen36 points·11 months ago

Did you ask for the batch-specific certificate, or the generic one?

replysharereportpermalink
u/alcohol_aversion30 points·11 months ago

How many separate lots is that across? One lot tested twice is one data point.

u/anders_osei10 points·11 months ago

Careful. "Nobody has tested Limitless Life" is a statement about this board, not about the supplier. Say the first thing, not the second.

Mild pushback: a supplier with fewer entries is not worse, it is less sampled. Those are different claims and the table says so.

About c/vendorvetting

The community due-diligence desk. Vendor experiences, independent third-party test results, shipping and reship records, and the boring paperwork that separates a supplier from a story. Every substantive claim is expected to carry a receipt: an order id, a dated screenshot, or a test report from Janoshik, Medutest, PeptideMeter or VendorInvestigate.
