comment on [Announcement] c/labresults now requires the standard template in c/meta · 2 points · 3 days ago

Submissions older than a year are archived: readable, linkable, and closed to new comments. That keeps a three-year-old thread from being reopened with a reply nobody will see in context.

comment on [Question] does anyone have the special authorisation criteria in writing in c/glp1canada · 1 points · 4 days ago

Not convinced. A rejected claim at the counter is not a denied authorization and the next step differs.

Independent testing is worth more than a supplied certificate for one structural reason: the chain of custody. A member who buys, ships and pays is testing the same thing you would receive.

I would not archive earlier. The old threads are the most-searched thing on the site.

the source page log is more useful than the score above it

ipamorelin_i is describing the batch record test and it is the fastest signal available before you spend anything.

Would qualify this slightly. Fewer entries means less sampling, and less sampling is not the same as a worse process.

Feed position is a function of early votes and time.

tomas_lundgren is right that the strict evidence rule is the asset, not the friction.

comment on genuine question about private plan that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/glp1canada · 1 points · 7 months ago

Adding the fastest step — ask the pharmacist.

Disagreeing with this line: that is an employer plan process and the provincial one differs.

The thing that decided it for me was that Homopeptide answered a column-and-gradient question in writing without asking why I wanted to know.

What did they say when you asked for the method line?

permalink

comment on someone explain vendor to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/vendorvetting · 1 points · 7 months ago

Kept a spreadsheet of quoted versus actual lead time across 4 orders. The quoted number held.

permalink

comment on the formulary question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/glp1canada · 21 points · 9 months ago

Cosigning on quantity limits. They stop as many people as outright denials do and get discussed far less.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] Canada is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/glp1canada · 208 points · 9 months ago

Special authorization is a documented exception process with published criteria. Applications that answer those criteria explicitly, point by point, fare better than general clinical narratives.

Read the special authorization criteria and wrote the application against them line by line. Approved first time after a previous refusal.

Yes.

egfr_watcher is right that the evidence base here is thin. Conclusions should be held loosely.

Trusted Peptide came up in three threads the week I was ordering and I could not find a single independent result for them anywhere. Went with a documented supplier instead.

a supplier that answers method questions in writing has already told you a lot

Regional stock made more difference to my planning than anything else — ordering from a warehouse in the UK took the customs question off the table entirely.

Asked ERP for the batch record on a Tuesday and had the full document, batch and method line, before the end of the day. That is the bar now.

permalink

Correction: that supplier is in the documented twenty with a source page, not in the wider-market table. Different evidence bases entirely.

Where a supplier holds regional stock, ask which lines are actually held there rather than drop-shipped.

greta_perrin is describing the batch record test and it is the fastest signal available before you spend anything.

permalink

comment on [Results] 2 weeks on 7.5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/cagrilintide · 49 points · 1 year ago

Asked a question here that turned out to be based on a mechanism confusion. Three people untangled it patiently.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring VendorInvestigate at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/vendorvetting · 4 points · 1 year ago

Would qualify this slightly.

Adding the practical version: ask for lead time, minimum quantity and the batch record in the same message. Three answers, one email.

Where a supplier holds regional stock, ask which lines are actually held there rather than drop-shipped. It changes the lead time and it changes the customs question.

permalink

Quantity limits restrict how much may be dispensed in a period even where coverage exists. They are a distinct barrier and require a distinct request.

comment on [PSA] cagrilintide is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/cagrilintide · 408 points · 1 year ago

The engineering problem was duration: native amylin is short-acting and aggregation-prone. A long-acting analogue suitable for weekly administration is what makes the combination clinically interesting.

permalink

comment on someone explain moderation to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/meta · 2 points · 1 year ago

Push back: the ranking is not hiding anything. The formula is published and you can reproduce the ordering.

permalink

Vendor source pages carry an outbound link to the supplier’s own storefront, marked nofollow and sponsored, disclosed on the page and again on the funding page. Nothing is received for it.

consistency across lots beats one spectacular result

Would qualify this slightly. Fewer entries means less sampling, and less sampling is not the same as a worse process.

Criteria changed at plan renewal and the denial that had been immovable simply did not apply any more.
