the label on a compounded vial is a legal document, read it

Paid noticeably more at one clinic than another for what turned out to be the same facility behind both.

the EMA authorises, member states decide who pays
comment on [Training] three full-body sessions a week through the whole cut in c/glp1muscle · 0 points · 3 days ago
DEXA has a meaningful coefficient of variation, and it differs between machines and protocols. Comparing scans from different clinics adds a systematic offset that is invisible on the report.
comment on [Question] does anyone get a COA from their compounding pharmacy in c/compounding · 15 points · 14 days ago
A beyond-use date derived from published stability data means something different from one assigned by default rule. Asking which is a fair question and the answer is usually available.
comment on [Question] creatine while eating 1,400 calories — worth it in c/glp1muscle · 1 points · 18 days ago
Correction: those scans are from different machines, and the difference you are describing is within the measurement error.

What does the local patient information leaflet say?

Is the prescription from the same country as the pharmacy?

salt forms are the recurring argument and the answer is boring

Resistance training, and at what frequency?
comment on [PSA] reimbursement is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/glp1eu · 68 points · 4 months ago
Supply notices are issued nationally. A notice in one member state does not imply availability problems in another, even for the same product.

What is protein intake actually looking like, measured rather than estimated?
comment on [Meta] the state board rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/compounding · 30 points · 6 months ago
a 503B has to register and report, so there is a paper trail to ask for
comment on Sweden: state board, and what it actually costs here in c/compounding · 1 points · 6 months ago
Same view. If the intake asked you nothing, the intake was a formality and you should factor that in.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring telehealth at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/compounding · 1 points · 6 months ago
Concentration on the compounded vial was different from what I had been using and I nearly did the arithmetic on autopilot.

Push back: strength dropping in a deficit is not the same as lean mass loss. Related, not identical.

do not compare your composition to a trial average

Agreed on potency testing of the finished preparation. That is a different question from the purity of the starting material.

if a clinic will not name the facility, that is your answer

comment on the lean mass thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/glp1muscle · 14 points · 1 year ago
Not convinced by that DEXA comparison. Different machine, different protocol, and the difference is inside the error.
comment on reading pharmacy threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/glp1eu · 82 points · 1 year ago
Push back: comparing headline prices across countries without normalising pack size is comparing two different quantities.

Reimbursed or private?
comment on [PSA] compounding is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/compounding · 31 points · 1 year ago
Salt form matters for mass: a preparation specified as one salt and dosed as the free base gives you a different amount of peptide for the same number on the label.
comment on someone explain lean mass to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/glp1muscle · 1 points · 1 year ago
What was the rate of weight change over that window?
comment on [Question] Ireland — has anyone got a straight answer on shortage list in c/compounding · 8 points · 1 year ago
That figure is the starting material purity, not the finished preparation potency. Two different tests.

comment on three years of Apotheke threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/glp1eu · 144 points · 1 year ago
Nothing here is medical or legal advice, and eligibility questions have national answers that a pharmacist where you live can give you in minutes.
comment on help me understand telehealth, I have read the wiki twice in c/compounding · 27 points · 1 year ago
Reminder that nothing here is medical advice and this board cannot tell you which arrangement to choose.
This is the distinction the whole board runs on. Everything else follows from it.

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for private plan posts in c/glp1canada · 193 points · 2 years ago
Criteria changed at plan renewal and the denial that had been immovable simply did not apply any more.

Right, and a shortage notice in one country tells you very little about the next one along.
