comment on method development — 10 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/hplc · 29 points · 1 year ago

Agreed, and it is why HJ printing the column and gradient on the certificate is genuinely useful rather than decorative.

comment on reading chromatogram threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/hplc · 124 points · 1 year ago

Started reporting my own integrations with the baseline choice stated. Arguments in my threads dropped by about half.

comment on genuine question about weekly update that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/dosinglogs · 10 points · 1 year ago

Disagree with daily weighing. You are logging fluid, and the emotional cost is real for very little information.

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring carrier at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/intlshipping · 122 points · 1 year ago

That is the quoted lead time, not the observed transit. Both belong in the report and they are different columns.

comment on how much of what we believe about gradient actually comes from purity threads in c/hplc · 155 points · 1 year ago

integration decisions move the number more than the sample does

comment on help me understand lane, I have read the wiki twice in c/intlshipping · 140 points · 1 year ago

Not convinced by four data points. That is not a lane yet, it is an anecdote with a route attached.

comment on [Lab] 24th independent test on CPC — 97.6% on a claimed 97.0%, and the trend is the interesting part in c/hplc · 12 points · 2 years ago

Area percent is the integrated area of your peak over the total integrated area at one wavelength on one gradient. Change any of those and the number changes without the sample changing.

report the method or do not report the number

comment on help me understand pentadecapeptide, I have read the wiki twice in c/bpc157 · 32 points · 2 years ago

Not convinced. A high purity figure with no identity confirmation tells you the sample is homogeneous, not that it is what you ordered.

comment on why does nobody talk about waist in c/dosinglogs · -8 points · 2 years ago

a log is not a plan and it is not advice for anybody else

permalink

comment on method development is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/hplc · 1 points · 2 years ago

Agreed. Two analysts, one trace, two integration choices, and a spread that has nothing to do with the vial.

comment on am I the only one who found Zepbound harder than the injections in c/tirzepatide · 11 points · 2 years ago

week 3 is early to draw any conclusion at all

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about MASH in c/survodutide · 24 points · 2 years ago

Biopsy-confirmed population or imaging-selected?

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about MASH in c/survodutide · 37 points · 2 years ago

Has anyone posted an independent purity result for this compound?

permalink

comment on someone explain pentadecapeptide to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/bpc157 · 8 points · 2 years ago

Push back: "no reported harms" in a literature with almost no human trials is not a safety finding.

comment on tirzepatide: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/tirzepatide · 29 points · 2 years ago

Small fix: SURMOUNT is the obesity programme, SURPASS is the type-2 programme.

Saving this one. It is the clearest statement of the stall problem I have read here.

system suitability before you believe any number on the run

comment on [Lab] split one vial across Medutest and Janoshik — 98.3% and 98.7% in c/tirzepatide · 112 points · 2 years ago

13kg over 61 weeks, never went past 10mg, and muscle cramps stayed mild the whole way. Posting because the loud threads are all 15mg.

comment on [Question] 15mg — what am I missing here in c/tirzepatide · 242 points · 2 years ago

That percentage is body weight change, not body fat. Different measurement, and the distinction gets lost every time.

the four-week step schedule is the label, not folklore

permalink

hold the dose that works, the ladder is not a leaderboard
