comment on [Country] NL — basisverzekering will not cover it, here is what i tried in c/glp1eu · 5 points · 2 days ago
Agreed — authorisation is European, reimbursement is national, and almost every confused thread here misses that split.
comment on [Meta] should this community rename "maintenance phase" to something that doesn’t sound like an afterthought in c/maintenancephase · 52 points · 3 days ago
three years on this site and "maintenance" only started meaning anything to me personally in the last twelve months, before that it was an abstract future word. the framing problem is real for newcomers specifically.
comment on [Milestone] 18 months, at goal for a year of that, and the weirdest part was after the number stopped moving in c/progresspics · 68 points · 3 days ago
yes, exactly, it's succeeding at something that by definition produces no new information week to week
comment on [Update] month 9 of maintenance, the boring table nobody asks to see but everyone should keep in c/dosinglogs · 11 points · 3 days ago
my own maintenance table looks embarrassingly similar to yours, boring in the best way
comment on how did people actually decide "this is my number" instead of just chasing lower forever in c/progresspics · 11 points · 3 days ago
it also takes the pressure off any single week's number mattering too much, which is a nice side benefit
comment on how did people actually decide "this is my number" instead of just chasing lower forever in c/progresspics · 28 points · 3 days ago
three years on this account and my honest answer is I still don't have a fixed number, I have a range I'm comfortable holding within, which turned out to be more useful than a single target ever was.
comment on quit cold, regained fast, and I’m still working through how I feel about that in c/darkspot · 24 points · 4 days ago
three years here and posts like this are honestly some of the most valuable ones on the whole site, not because they solve anything but because they're true
comment on [Resolved] restarted after a year off, zero shame framing allowed in this post in c/darkspot · 22 points · 5 days ago
this kind of full-circle followup post is why I've stuck around this site for three years, genuinely
comment on [Question] does an EU prescription travel across member states or not in c/glp1eu · 6 points · 5 days ago
pharmacy margins are regulated differently in each country
comment on tapered slowly over four months instead of stopping cold, regain was 4kg not 24 in c/maintenancephase · 11 points · 6 days ago
bookmarking the actual ratio, 10.5% regain is a genuinely different mental picture than "4kg" floating alone would have given me
comment on almost quit at week 4 because "it stopped working", so glad I didn’t in c/progresspics · 9 points · 7 days ago
three years in myself and I still remember my own week 4 wall vividly. it never fully leaves you as a memory even after it stops mattering.
comment on [Non-Scale Win] tied my own shoes without holding my breath in c/progresspics · 27 points · 19 days ago
Left up. It is a milestone post with a timeframe attached, which is all we ask.
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify EU in c/glp1eu · 1 points · 1 months ago
Careful, that guidance is from a different country and this thread is asking about somewhere else entirely.
comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for prescription posts in c/glp1eu · 29 points · 3 months ago
Compared prices across two neighbouring countries and found the difference was mostly pack size once I normalised it.
comment on week 95 check-in — 48kg down, nausea manageable, one thing confusing me in c/maintenancephase · 21 points · 4 months ago
Left up. It is a maintenance report with a duration attached and those are rarer than they should be.
comment on week 95 check-in — 48kg down, nausea manageable, one thing confusing me in c/maintenancephase · 46 points · 4 months ago
The habits from the losing phase are what carry it now. That is not inspirational, it is just what happened.
comment on what would you tell week-1 you about maintenance in c/maintenancephase · 19 points · 4 months ago
Removed the taper schedule aimed at another member. Describe your own; do not write theirs.
comment on [Discussion] goal is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/progresspics · 41 points · 5 months ago
Removed an image link. This board is text only by community rule and that has been reaffirmed twice.
comment on why does nobody talk about pharmacy in c/glp1eu · 3 points · 5 months ago
EU-wide advice is almost always wrong somewhere
comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about goal weight until somebody posts a number in c/maintenancephase · 44 points · 5 months ago
Standing reminder that regain after stopping is a documented pharmacological outcome, and posts framing it as a moral failure get edited.
comment on [PSA] struggle is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/progresspics · 1 points · 6 months ago
Correcting my own post above — that was week 71, not the week I wrote. Same story, wrong number.
comment on [PSA] struggle is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/progresspics · 1 points · 6 months ago
Cosigning on timeframe. "43kg" means something completely different over 14 months than over one.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring long term at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/maintenancephase · 41 points · 7 months ago
do not chase the last two kilos with a dose increase
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring long term at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/maintenancephase · 213 points · 7 months ago
Removed the taper schedule aimed at another member. Describe your own; do not write theirs.
comment on does non-scale victory actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/progresspics · 77 points · 7 months ago
Nobody has to post a starting weight, and comments demanding one get removed.
comment on three years of regain threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/maintenancephase · 7 points · 9 months ago
That reads like a taper schedule and this board cannot hand those out.
comment on [Discussion] the goal advice in here is 3 years out of date in c/progresspics · 337 points · 10 months ago
On the goal weight you set in week one.
You chose it with the least information you will ever have about how this feels, what is sustainable, and what your body does at different points. Revising it is not moving the goalposts; it is updating a prediction, which is what you are supposed to do with predictions.
Several of the longest-standing members here have revised theirs more than once, in both directions, and describe the revision as the point at which the whole thing became manageable. What the number should be is a conversation with somebody who knows your history — but that it is allowed to change is something this board can tell you.
comment on [Meta] the non-scale victory rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/progresspics · 11 points · 11 months ago
Removed advice aimed at another member. Describe your own experience here.
comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about long term until somebody posts a number in c/maintenancephase · 1 points · 11 months ago
a few kilos of drift is not a relapse
comment on week 18 check-in — 5kg down, nausea manageable, one thing confusing me in c/progresspics · 1 points · 11 months ago
Correcting my own post above — that was week 31, not the week I wrote. Same story, wrong number.
comment on week 18 check-in — 5kg down, nausea manageable, one thing confusing me in c/progresspics · 2 points · 11 months ago
That is a waist measurement, not a weight, and the thread has been comparing them as though they were the same.
comment on week 18 check-in — 5kg down, nausea manageable, one thing confusing me in c/progresspics · 2 points · 11 months ago
Stopped reading the fastest posts here for a month and my mood improved considerably.
comment on help me understand Apotheke, I have read the wiki twice in c/glp1eu · 6 points · 1 year ago
Reimbursed or private?
Adding the practical step — read your own country’s published criteria. They exist and they are definitive.
comment on [Results] 39 weeks, 17kg, and progress was the hard part in c/progresspics · 17 points · 1 year ago
measurements beat photographs for actually tracking anything
Agreed — measurements over photographs, every time, for anybody trying to actually track something.
comment on help me understand goal weight, I have read the wiki twice in c/maintenancephase · 19 points · 1 year ago
boring is the objective now
comment on small win: goal weight stopped being a problem at week 85 in c/maintenancephase · 626 points · 1 year ago
Removed the taper schedule aimed at another member. Describe your own; do not write theirs.
comment on the Netherlands: EMA, and what it actually costs here in c/glp1eu · 32 points · 1 year ago
Correction: that is the authorisation position, and the question was about reimbursement. Different bodies, different answers.
comment on the progress thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/progresspics · 212 points · 1 year ago
Nobody has to post a starting weight, and comments demanding one get removed.
comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for milestone posts in c/progresspics · 45 points · 1 year ago
Why this board is text only, since new members ask every week.
A photograph invites comparison on things nobody can control — lighting, posture, where you carry weight, what you looked like before any of this. Text invites description of what changed for you: the jacket, the stairs, the measurement, the month it took.
The result is a board where the posts are about people’s actual experience rather than about images, and where nobody is competing on the wrong axis. It was a deliberate choice, it has been challenged periodically, and every time it has been kept.

seven days to ten to twelve is the sequence people here describe
