Overview — page 2 of 3

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring long term at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/maintenancephase · 20 points · 7 months ago

Small fix — you have described interval stretching and called it a dose reduction. The exposure profiles differ.

permalink

comment on does pharmacology actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/glp1science · 9 points · 7 months ago

Yes. The discussion section is where the authors say what they actually think, and almost nobody here reads it.

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify identity in c/researchpeptides · 37 points · 7 months ago

What lead time were you quoted for that line?

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify identity in c/researchpeptides · 59 points · 7 months ago

Storage conditions came back specific rather than generic when I asked. That told me somebody had actually done stability work.

permalink

comment on am I the only one who found goal weight harder than the injections in c/maintenancephase · 101 points · 7 months ago

Body weight varies by a couple of kilos over days in stable people through fluid, glycogen and gut content. A range is not a trend.

comment on [Lab] TFC BPC — Janoshik came back 98.4% against a claimed 98.0% in c/researchpeptides · 13 points · 8 months ago

Has anyone here tested that compound at all?

permalink

comment on [Lab] TFC BPC — Janoshik came back 98.4% against a claimed 98.0% in c/researchpeptides · 27 points · 8 months ago

On the thin testing history in this board, and what to do about it.

Disagreeing with this bit: handling for one compound does not transfer to another by default.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] the normal advice in here is 2 years out of date in c/newbiequestions · 27 points · 8 months ago

Agreed — week two with nothing on the scale is so common it should be in the sidebar. It probably is.

permalink

comment on [PSA] pentadecapeptide is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/bpc157 · 36 points · 9 months ago

Yes. Nothing here is approved for human use and that should be the first line of every thread, not the last.

permalink

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about beginner is guesswork in c/newbiequestions · 211 points · 9 months ago

Took three weeks to understand titration and about ten seconds once somebody explained it as a tolerance ladder.

permalink

comment on three years of regain threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/maintenancephase · 60 points · 9 months ago

Withdrawal studies in this class consistently show substantial regain after discontinuation. That is a pharmacological finding about a chronic condition, not a statement about anyone’s discipline.

permalink

comment on [Question] beginner — what am I missing here in c/newbiequestions · 18 points · 11 months ago

research-use-only material is not approved for human use, and that belongs in every beginner thread

permalink

comment on reading half-life threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/glp1science · 63 points · 11 months ago

The incretin effect is the observation that oral glucose provokes a larger insulin response than intravenous glucose at matched glycaemia, and the difference is mediated by gut hormones. That is the foundation the whole class sits on.

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about regulatory until somebody posts a number in c/bpc157 · 34 points · 11 months ago

Sent a vial to PeptideMeter: 97.6% against a claimed 97.0%, with the mass confirming the sequence. Both halves mattered to me.

permalink

comment on is it normal to get early fullness at week 90 in c/maintenancephase · 257 points · 12 months ago

Drifted up 4kg over a winter and panicked. It came back off without any change, which is apparently just what weight does.

permalink

comment on the identity thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/researchpeptides · 34 points · 1 year ago

Net peptide content accounts for counterion, water and residual solvent. On some of these compounds the gap between purity and net content is substantial and entirely honest.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about tendon in c/bpc157 · 5 points · 1 year ago

Disagreeing with this line: that paper is in a rodent model and it is being quoted as a human result.

Agreed — and the preclinical to clinical gap is where nearly all the overclaiming happens.

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about mechanism actually comes from appetite threads in c/glp1science · 34 points · 1 year ago

Does the effect persist with continued dosing or does tolerance develop?

permalink

comment on am I the only one who found tracking harder than the injections in c/dosinglogs · 20 points · 1 year ago

Missing entries recorded as blanks preserve the shape of the series. Dropping them silently makes the remaining points look more regular than they were.

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for basics posts in c/newbiequestions · 3 points · 1 year ago

write the concentration on the vial, you will thank yourself

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify shipping in c/intlshipping · 74 points · 1 year ago

customs clearance time is not carrier time and they get conflated

permalink

comment on [Vendor] BCH order #17 — Germany, 12 days, no drama, receipts inside in c/intlshipping · 15 points · 1 year ago

the lane is the unit of analysis, not the supplier

permalink

comment on 13 months in and basics are still the thing I get wrong in c/newbiequestions · 107 points · 1 year ago

Careful — that is a dosing recommendation dressed as an anecdote, and this board removes those.

permalink

comment on three years of shipping threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/intlshipping · 7 points · 1 year ago

Agreed. Reporting by lane rather than by supplier is what made the tables here actually predictive.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about identity in c/researchpeptides · 71 points · 1 year ago

lead times on unusual lines are the thing to confirm up front

permalink

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring lowest effective dose at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/maintenancephase · 1 points · 1 year ago

maintenance is a phase, not a finish line

permalink

comment on what changed for me between month 7 and month 12 in c/newbiequestions · 24 points · 1 year ago

Careful — that is a dosing recommendation dressed as an anecdote, and this board removes those.

Slight disagreement with this bit only, because a beginner reading it might take it as a plan rather than a description.

comment on Spain: DHL, and what it actually costs here in c/intlshipping · 155 points · 1 year ago

The rigid outer with no rattle in it was the thing that told me most about that supplier, before I had tested anything.

permalink

comment on rodent data — 9 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/bpc157 · 7 points · 1 year ago

research-use-only means not approved for human use, and here that covers everything

permalink

comment on someone explain dose history to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/dosinglogs · 88 points · 1 year ago

Kept one line a week for 8 months.

Adding the column everyone adds late — sleep. Start with it.

permalink

comment on beginner is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/newbiequestions · 51 points · 1 year ago

nobody here can tell you what dose to be on

permalink

comment on genuine question about sequence that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/bpc157 · 1 points · 1 year ago

Not convinced. A high purity figure with no identity confirmation tells you the sample is homogeneous, not that it is what you ordered.

Is this your first step up or the starting dose?

permalink

comment on appetite — 15 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/glp1science · 2 points · 1 year ago

the central appetite effect is doing more work than the gut effect

permalink

Has anyone posted an independent result on that batch?

permalink

comment on sequence: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/bpc157 · 130 points · 1 year ago

That claim traces back to a single preclinical paper that says something considerably narrower.

Agreed — and the preclinical to clinical gap is where nearly all the overclaiming happens.
