comment on 14 months in and retatrutide is still the thing I get wrong in c/retatrutide · 1 points · 8 months ago

Sceptical of the extrapolation.

Agreed, and the glucagon arm is exactly why the comparison threads do not work.

Stopped at a low step because there was no reason to go further and no data to tell me what further would do.

Which rule specifically, and which part of it?

Kept the prescription and the receipt for a claim, purely because a thread here told me to. Both were requested.

a prescription from one member state is not automatically valid in another

comment on switched from 0.5mg to 1.7mg and injection-site soreness got better, not worse in c/sideeffects · 135 points · 9 months ago

Disagree. Severe abdominal pain is not on the list of things to wait out, and this board should not be treating it as one.

Not convinced. You are comparing a compounded concentration with a branded one and assuming they match.

What is the concrete wording you would replace it with?

Salt form matters for mass: a preparation specified as one salt and dosed as the free base gives you a different amount of peptide for the same number on the label.

Marketing authorisation is granted centrally for these products; reimbursement, pricing and prescribing criteria are national competences. Those are decided by different bodies with different processes.

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about TRIUMPH is guesswork in c/retatrutide · 4 points · 10 months ago

Increases in heart rate have been reported across this receptor class. The magnitude and clinical significance are exactly what phase 3 is powered to establish.

comment on the scam question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/scamalerts · 63 points · 10 months ago

no batch number, no date, no method — that is the pattern, not one detail

permalink

comment on is it normal to get sulphur burps at week 87 in c/retatrutide · 22 points · 10 months ago

Correction: TRIUMPH is the phase 3 programme. The number you are quoting is from the phase 2 readout, which is a different trial.

comment on why does nobody talk about EU in c/glp1eu · 61 points · 11 months ago

Pack sizes and presentations differ between member states, so a headline price is not comparable until it is normalised to a common quantity.

compounded is not generic, there is no equivalence claim

permalink

comment on what changed for me between month 2 and month 9 in c/sideeffects · 35 points · 11 months ago

Severe or persistent abdominal pain sits outside the pattern this board can usefully discuss.

Agreed, with the caveat that "usually settles" is not "always settles" and the exceptions should still get asked about properly.

What is intake actually looking like — fibre and water especially?

That reads like advice, and none of us can give it. Describe what you did, not what somebody else should do.

Ask for the batch-specific certificate before payment. Any operation with a quality system behind it can produce one; the request costs you nothing and it filters hard.

permalink

comment on [PSA] compounding is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/compounding · 4 points · 1 year ago

Right, and the concentration genuinely can differ from the branded product, which breaks people’s arithmetic.

permalink

comment on [PSA] compounding is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/compounding · 6 points · 1 year ago

Careful.

jonas_eriksen is right about the concentration trap. It breaks arithmetic that has been reliable for months.

permalink

comment on [Meta] the Apotheke rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/glp1eu · 210 points · 1 year ago

Not convinced — cross-border prescription recognition is narrower than you are describing and the exceptions matter.

the energy-expenditure story is mechanistically interesting and clinically unproven

permalink

comment on [PSA] cloned site is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/scamalerts · 0 points · 1 year ago

That is a report count, not a test count, and it changes how thin the evidence base actually is.

Disagreeing here: that is a delay, and this board has to keep delay and intent in separate columns.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] 503B is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/compounding · 12 points · 1 year ago

Agreed. The 503A versus 503B distinction changes who is allowed to make what, and almost every confused thread here starts by ignoring it.

Nothing in this thread is medical advice, including this comment. I am describing a mechanism, not telling anybody what to do about their own week.

Mine settled at week 56 and has not come back since, across two more steps.
