do not assume the dosing intuitions from the GLP-1 boards transfer

What dates are we talking about — order, payment, last contact?

That is an accusation about a named individual and it does not belong here in any form.

The tolerability tables were more informative than the headline numbers, which is usually the case and never how it gets summarised.

Dosing intuitions from the GLP-1 boards do not transfer. Different receptor family, different exposure-response, and no published schedule for members to reason from.

What does the tolerability table in that paper actually say?

Which trial and which readout?

read the combination arms separately from the monotherapy arms

Careful — that is a dosing intuition carried over from another board and there is no basis for it here.

Small fix — the name you are describing is in the wider-market table with almost nothing on file, not in the documented twenty.

Is there any independent testing on file for this name anywhere?

amylin analogue, different receptor family, different story

Disagreeing with this line: that figure is from a combination arm and is being quoted as monotherapy.

comment on am I the only one who found struggle harder than the injections in c/progresspics · 32 points · 1 year ago

Agreed — text only was the best rule this board ever adopted. The posts are about what actually changed rather than about lighting.

comment on week 45 check-in — 21kg down, sulphur burps manageable, one thing confusing me in c/cagrilintide · 71 points · 1 year ago

Agreed — it is an amylin analogue and importing intuitions from the incretin boards produces confident nonsense.

comment on [Results] 70 weeks on 2.4mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/orforglipron · 3 points · 1 year ago

It is a non-peptide small-molecule agonist at the GLP-1 receptor. That is a substantial medicinal chemistry achievement: getting a small molecule to activate a receptor evolved for a peptide ligand.

ask for the Beipackzettel or the local equivalent, it answers most questions

Never name an individual. The sidebar rule exists because the cost of being wrong falls on a person and the benefit of being right falls on nobody in particular.

comment on [Lab] GGPeps orfo — VendorInvestigate came back 99.3% against a claimed 99.0% in c/orforglipron · 111 points · 2 years ago

Small fix — the two programme names got swapped upthread and it changes which population the figure came from.

comment on week 17 check-in — 4kg down, fatigue manageable, one thing confusing me in c/cagrilintide · 281 points · 2 years ago

That result is preclinical. Worth flagging, since the thread has been reading it as human data.

Which receptor family are you attributing that effect to?

This is the distinction that keeps this board honest — different axis, not a stronger version of the same one.

Yes — describe the sequence of events with dates. That is a report. Adjectives are not.

A report is useful here when it carries dates, the exact domain, what was requested, what arrived and what did not. Everything else is atmosphere.

Not convinced. A payment window that closed is a payment window, not evidence of intent.
