Overview — page 3 of 3

comment on the lean mass thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/glp1muscle · 19 points · 1 year ago

Agreed on the error margin. Quoting a DEXA to one decimal implies a precision the method does not have.

comment on ATTAIN: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/orforglipron · 0 points · 1 year ago

Small fix — the two programme names got swapped upthread and it changes which population the figure came from.

Same DEXA machine both times?

ATTAIN and ACHIEVE are the programmes to keep straight

comment on does fake COA actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/scamalerts · 1 points · 1 year ago

That is an accusation about a named individual and it does not belong here in any form.

a COA is a certificate of analysis, the lab document for a batch

dose escalation in the trials was slow for a reason

Agreed on the heart-rate reports. They are consistent enough across the threads to be worth noting, not enough to be a finding.

comment on switched from 0.5mg to 2.4mg and early fullness got better, not worse in c/newbiequestions · 123 points · 1 year ago

Right, and writing the concentration on the vial is the single best habit anyone here can start with.

Nothing here is a training or nutrition prescription. Targets and programmes are matters for somebody who knows your history and your training background.

I would separate the two claims. The site being newly registered is checkable. The motive you are inferring is not.

comment on is it normal to get early fullness at week 64 in c/retatrutide · 6 points · 1 year ago

Same read.

Adding the standing caveat: none of this is approved anywhere and research material is not for human use.

comparing reta phase 2 to sema phase 3 is comparing different things

What do you think the glucagon component is adding, specifically?

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about phase 2 is guesswork in c/retatrutide · 984 points · 1 year ago

Watched heart rate on a wearable across twelve weeks because the threads said to. It moved a little and I have no idea whether that means anything.

That is Scotland’s arrangement and the post is asking about England.

Disagree. That is the pathway in one ICB and it does not generalise even to the next one over.

Small correction, said kindly: those are two different products with similar names, and the difference matters for a multi-draw vial.

Protein was the whole problem. Appetite dropped and I was eating well under target without noticing for a month.

Hydration status and fasting state affect the lean mass estimate. Standardising both is the difference between a comparison and a coin toss.

comment on genuine question about UK that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/glp1uk · 229 points · 1 year ago

A private prescription is an independent route: it does not affect NHS list position, and it is not a step in the same pathway.

This is why national advice does not work here. It is commissioned locally and it varies.

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify UK in c/glp1uk · 40 points · 1 year ago

Same. My ICB threshold was different from the neighbouring one and nobody could tell me why.

Right, and reading the actual supply notice rather than the coverage of it saves a fortnight of speculation.

Nothing containing this compound is approved anywhere. Research-use-only material is not approved for human use, and that is a statement of fact rather than a disclaimer.

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for private prescription posts in c/glp1uk · 133 points · 2 years ago

Careful, that pricing figure is a headline offer with conditions attached rather than the actual monthly cost.

permalink

Small fix — the name you are describing is in the wider-market table with almost nothing on file, not in the documented twenty.

Same.

escrow_evangelist has explained this better than the wiki does, which is saying something.

permalink

Push back: quoting the phase 2 headline as an expected outcome is not a fair reading of a small trial with wide intervals.
