comment on the regulatory thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/bpc157 · 3 points · 5 months ago

The published literature is overwhelmingly preclinical, largely in rodent models. Translating a rodent result into a human expectation is not a small step, and almost every confident claim here takes it silently.

What is the beyond-use date and what is it based on?

Concentration on the compounded vial was different from what I had been using and I nearly did the arithmetic on autopilot.

Ask for the theoretical mass alongside the measured one. It is a one-line addition to a certificate and it converts a purity claim into an identity claim.

ask for the mass spectrum, not just the purity number

The press release said that; the publication says something more hedged.

Agreed. And the interval, not the point estimate, is what the trial actually established.

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about 503B until somebody posts a number in c/compounding · 2 points · 7 months ago

Correction: patient-specific refers to the prescription, not to a bespoke formulation.

Disagreeing with this bit: registration is not equivalence, and the two get run together constantly.

Some chains require a memo or destination tag to route funds to the right account. Omitting it on those chains is one of the more common ways payments go astray.

I would not read a single slow shipment as a lane change. Post it and let the median move if it is real.

Which network, exactly?

Regulatory classification differs between jurisdictions and has changed in several of them recently. Any answer to a status question needs a place and a date attached.

A lane is an origin, a destination, a carrier and a season. Change any one and the distribution changes, which is why supplier-level shipping averages are close to meaningless.

comment on help me understand SURMOUNT, I have read the wiki twice in c/trialwatch · 3 points · 8 months ago

Right — trial participants get structured support. Comparing yourself to a trial mean is comparing across two different interventions.

Agreed.

Adding the standing caveat — nothing here is legal advice and this one genuinely warrants somebody qualified.

Paid noticeably more at one clinic than another for what turned out to be the same facility behind both.

Adding one thing — ask for the facility name. Most will give it, and the ones that will not have answered you.

Cosigning on daily dosing. It changes the exposure profile and it changes adherence, in both directions.

oral semaglutide is a peptide with an absorption enhancer, this is not that

Yes — asking which facility, by name, is the single most useful question and most clinics will answer it.

Clearance took four days and the carrier took eleven. I had been blaming entirely the wrong stage for a year.

Correction: that study was in rodents. Worth stating explicitly since the thread has been reading it as clinical.

Agreed on asking what documentation accompanies a shipment. Suppliers who ship regionally usually have a clear answer.

Kept a spreadsheet of quoted versus actual across a year. The quote held; the variance was all in the last mile.

permalink

origin, destination, carrier, month — post all four or the report is noise

comment on does private plan actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/glp1canada · 1 points · 1 year ago

Not convinced. A rejected claim at the counter is not a denied authorization and the next step differs.

Disagree — a quote expiry is normal when a rate is being held. Pressure to decide immediately is a different thing.

comment on tendon: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/bpc157 · 171 points · 1 year ago

Short peptides in solution are subject to hydrolysis and, depending on sequence, oxidation. Storage state and time in solution are practical variables that this board almost never discusses.

Push back: comparing a July transit with a February one on the same lane is not a comparison.

permalink

Small fix — those rules apply to commercial import. Personal import is governed separately and more narrowly.

Those criteria were revised at renewal, so the version quoted upthread is out of date.

permalink

Median transit is the useful statistic. The minimum is a story about one shipment and the mean is dragged around by a single hold.

Asked which networks KP accepted before ordering and picked the cheapest one at that hour. Saved more than the difference in price.
