Why this board insists on dates and documents rather than names.

A report that says "X is a scam" is unfalsifiable and unactionable. A report that says "ordered on this date, paid this way, asked for a batch document on this date, received this reply, nothing since" can be checked, corroborated, or corrected by somebody with a different experience.

The second kind has repeatedly turned out to be a shipping problem, a payment window, or a misread email. The first kind never turns into anything except an argument, and when it is wrong the cost falls on somebody real.

Research-use-only material is not approved for human use. Anything in this thread about how a research vial "should" titrate is a discussion about chemistry, not a plan.

What this compound is actually being developed for, since the boards treat it as a weight-loss molecule with a footnote.

It is a dual GLP-1 and glucagon receptor agonist, and the glucagon arm links to hepatic fat and energy expenditure. The headline programme is metabolic liver disease, with endpoints scored on biopsy rather than on a scale.

That matters for how the data should be read. A histological response rate in a biopsy-confirmed population answers a very different question from a mean weight change in an obesity trial, and quoting one in place of the other — which happens in nearly every thread here — is not a comparison.

Where the evidence actually stands, since every thread here assumes a different answer.

Phase 2 reported a large mean body weight change at 48 weeks across a few hundred participants with a slow, protocol-driven escalation. The effect size was striking. The confidence intervals were wide, the population was small, and the duration was under a year.

Phase 3 is running. Until it reports, everything else — including the ranking arguments this board loves — is extrapolation from a small study. That is not a criticism of the compound; it is a description of the evidence.

That figure is the 68-week trial mean, not a weekly rate. Dividing it by the weeks gives you a number that does not mean anything.

There is no published dose equivalence between the two. The conversion tables that circulate are somebody’s arithmetic, not data. What people report here is that the first month after a switch is often flat, that the appetite effect feels differently shaped rather than simply stronger, and that starting at the bottom of the ladder again is the common approach.

None of that is a recommendation. It is what the threads say, and the threads are not a clinic.

I would not read across from the obesity programmes. Different population, different endpoint, different question.

The confounding problem, stated plainly, because this board keeps stepping on it.

Substantial weight loss moves lipids, liver enzymes, insulin sensitivity markers and several others in its own right. If you are losing weight while taking something, any change in those markers has at least two candidate explanations and you cannot separate them from your own panel.

What you can do is standardise, take a baseline, keep the series long, and be honest in your posts about what is and is not attributable. The threads that say "this compound did X to my eGFR" almost never have the design to support the claim, mine included.

That percentage is body weight change, not body fat. Different measurement, and the distinction gets lost every time.

SURMOUNT-1 ran 72 weeks with the top arm around 21% mean body weight change. SURPASS is the diabetes programme and reports glycaemic endpoints, so quoting the two interchangeably is a category error.

A reference interval is built to contain about 95% of a healthy reference population, so one test in twenty falls outside one by construction. Add biological variation, assay imprecision, fasting state and time of day, and a genuinely stable person will produce occasional out-of-range results.

That is why repeat testing before acting is standard. Regression to the mean handles most of it. None of which means an out-of-range value should be ignored — it means it should be repeated and taken to somebody who can put it in context, which is emphatically not a ranked feed.
