[Question] do you tell new people how long this actually is
do you tell new people how long this actually is, and I want the answer with the reasoning attached rather than just the conclusion.
Chased the last three kilos with a dose increase and got a fortnight of nausea and no change in the number.
Been at maintenance for 3 months on 1.0mg. Nothing happens. That is the whole report and it took me a while to accept it as success.
Weigh monthly now. Best change I made in the whole run and it cost nothing.
Would rather be corrected in public than confident in private.
best — the order this archive was captured in
Dose reduction and interval extension are different interventions. Halving the dose keeps the rhythm and lowers the level; stretching keeps the level and lowers the frequency, with a lower trough.
Left up. It is a maintenance report with a duration attached and those are rarer than they should be.
the habits are the part that has to outlive the dose
Disagree with chasing the last stretch by going up. You are trading a real side-effect cost for a number you chose arbitrarily.
What is the plan if the drift continues for another month?
Drifted up 22kg over a winter and panicked. It came back off without any change, which is apparently just what weight does.
Is the goal weight still the one you picked at the start?
Agreed that a few kilos of drift is ordinary. Weight is not a fixed number even for people who have never taken anything.
Did you decide what maintenance would look like before you got here?

Cosigning on planning it in advance. Deciding what maintenance looks like while still losing is much easier than deciding it in a panic.
Agreed. Lowest effective dose is the actual maintenance question and it gets almost no airtime next to the escalation threads.
None of this is a taper plan. What dose holds for you is a question for somebody with your history in front of them.
Yes — interval stretching and dose reduction are different levers and people use the words interchangeably.
find the dose that holds, then stop optimising
Has appetite changed, or only the scale?
This. The withdrawal data is not ambiguous and framing regain as a personal failure is both wrong and cruel.
