What this community is for
UK-specific access: NHS tier-3 and specialist weight-management pathways, the two-year waiting-list reality, private prescription routes and their monthly cost, pharmacy stock, MHRA supply notices, and how the UK rules differ from the US conversation that dominates most of the internet.
c/glp1uk was created on 15 Jan 2024 and currently has 42,800 members and 95 captured submissions. It sits in the second tier of the site, which mostly affects how fast a question gets answered rather than how well.
The one-line version
NHS pathways, private prescriptions, pharmacy pricing, MHRA notices.
Rules, and why each exists
Community rules come first, then the six site-wide rules that apply everywhere on GLP Research Hub. Community rules are enforced by the moderators listed at the bottom of this page; site rules are enforced by everyone.
- No naming online pharmacies that prescribe without a consultation.
- Price posts need the date — UK private pricing moves monthly.
- NHS pathway questions: say which nation. England, Scotland, Wales and NI differ.
And the site rules, which are short on purpose:
- Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
- Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
- Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
- No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
- No contact handles, wallet addresses or tracking numbers — they identify people.
- Be recognisably decent. Disagree hard, insult nobody.

Who runs this
Moderation here is done by volunteers who also post as normal members. They are not clinicians, not vendors, and not paid.
- u/nhs_waitlist_n — UK. Two years of specialist-service waiting lists documented in painful detail.
- u/boots_or_bust — UK private prescription pricing tracker. Updated monthly, no affiliate links.
- u/lane_watcher — c/intlshipping + c/customs mod. I maintain the lane table. Do not post tracking numbers.
- u/ireland_drugs_pay — IE. Drugs Payment Scheme cap is the single most useful thing I learned.
Wiki pages are community-maintained summaries, not clinical guidance. If a wiki page and your clinician disagree, your clinician wins.
