comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about confirmations are guesswork in c/cryptopay · 35 points · 1 year ago
Network fees are set by chain congestion at the time of sending. They are paid to the network, not to the recipient, and they vary by hour as well as by chain.
comment on the chargeback thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/cryptopay · -36 points · 1 year ago
Sent a test amount first on a large order. Cost me a fraction of a percent and I have done it every time since.

How many confirmations does it show?
Adding the cheap insurance — test amount first on anything large.
comment on am I the only one who found hypoglycaemia harder than the injections in c/t2dglp1 · 29 points · 1 year ago
Variability dropped before the average did, which was visible on the sensor and invisible on the lab result.
Agreed, and the glucose-dependence point is the reason the risk profile reads the way it does.

fees vary by chain and by hour, not by supplier
comment on reading MASH threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/survodutide · 187 points · 1 year ago
biopsy-confirmed is not the same as imaging-suggested

Read the phase 2 hepatic paper properly and the endpoint definitions were more interesting than the headline response rate.

glucagon agonism and energy expenditure is the mechanistic thread
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify USDC in c/cryptopay · 47 points · 1 year ago
fees vary by chain and by hour, not by supplier
comment on how much of what we believe about lane actually comes from shipping threads in c/intlshipping · 73 points · 1 year ago
the lane is the unit of analysis, not the supplier
comment on small win: glucagon stopped being a problem at week 36 in c/survodutide · -32 points · 2 years ago
a liver endpoint is not a weight endpoint with better marketing
comment on the interval stretching thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/tapering · 22 points · 2 years ago
stopping abruptly and stopping gradually are different experiences
comment on 5 months in and metformin is still the thing I get wrong in c/t2dglp1 · 1 points · 2 years ago
Correction: that trial is the diabetes programme and the figure you quoted is its glycaemic endpoint, not a weight result.
comment on DHL — 21 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/intlshipping · 99 points · 2 years ago
Kept a spreadsheet of quoted versus actual across a year. The quote held; the variance was all in the last mile.
comment on someone explain survodutide to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/survodutide · 18 points · 2 years ago
the titration in the trials was slow and deliberate
comment on why does nobody talk about MASH in c/survodutide · 118 points · 2 years ago
Careful with the mechanism claim. Glucagon agonism is plausible as an explanation and it has not been isolated as the operative one.
comment on [Question] New Zealand — has anyone got a straight answer on chargeback in c/cryptopay · 44 points · 2 years ago
Escrow is not standard in this space. Wanting it is reasonable; expecting it as default is not.
