comment on stalled for 6 weeks at 15mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/sideeffects · 5 points · 1 year ago

Careful with the supplement recommendation. There is no evidence for it here and the mechanism you are proposing does not hold.

sulphur burps are unpleasant and they are not dangerous

comment on [Meta] the 2.4mg rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/semaglutide · 78 points · 1 year ago

The escalation schedule in the trials existed to keep people on the drug. It is a tolerability ramp, and it is why the label reads the way it does.

comment on [Vendor] MKM vs CPC on the same compound, same month — both cleared 97.0% in c/semaglutide · 22 points · 1 year ago

First month I lost almost nothing and nearly quit. Month two and three were where it all happened.

Small correction: 2.4mg is the maintenance ceiling on the label, not the starting maintenance dose. The distinction matters for anyone reading this later.

Which network, exactly?

Has anything else changed in the same window?

The fatigue turned out to be that I was eating about a third of what I thought I was. Tracked it for a week and the mystery evaporated.

My stall was eleven weeks. Eleven. Then it moved again without me changing anything at all.

Pushback: you changed the dose, the meal timing and the training in the same fortnight, so the attribution is guesswork.

Network fees are set by chain congestion at the time of sending. They are paid to the network, not to the recipient, and they vary by hour as well as by chain.

dose day drift of a day either way is fine, the curve barely notices

comment on my A1c moved and I cannot work out whether reflux is why in c/sideeffects · 107 points · 1 year ago

Cosigning the fibre and water answer. Unglamorous, free, and it fixed it for me inside a week.

My stall was eleven weeks. Eleven. Then it moved again without me changing anything at all.

nobody warns you about how much of this is timing rather than dose

A symptom that begins the day after the shot and fades by day four tracks the exposure curve. One that appears at random in week 20 probably does not, and that is worth saying to a clinician rather than to us.

Asked which networks WWB accepted before ordering and picked the cheapest one at that hour. Saved more than the difference in price.

Severe, or unpleasant? They are genuinely different questions and the answers diverge.

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify hair loss in c/sideeffects · 79 points · 2 years ago

Not convinced by that mechanism. Slowed gastric emptying explains fullness and reflux; it does not explain what you are describing.

The weekly interval comes out of the half-life — roughly a week — so you are on a smooth curve rather than a series of spikes. That is also why moving your day slightly does very little.

hair shedding follows the weight loss, not the drug, and it stops
