comment on ice pack — 19 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/coldchain · 59 points · 1 year ago
Not convinced. A warm pack on day six is expected behaviour from a pack designed for four.
comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for rodent data posts in c/bpc157 · 29 points · 1 year ago
Short peptides in solution are subject to hydrolysis and, depending on sequence, oxidation. Storage state and time in solution are practical variables that this board almost never discusses.
comment on [Results] 24 weeks on 12.5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/glp1women · 3 points · 1 year ago
hair shedding follows the rate of loss, not the compound
comment on tendon: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/bpc157 · 5 points · 1 year ago
identity, quantity, stability — three separate questions
comment on tendon: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/bpc157 · 11 points · 1 year ago
read the actual papers, they are more modest than the summaries
comment on [Discussion] the private prescription advice in here is 2 years out of date in c/glp1uk · 88 points · 1 year ago
Supply notices from the regulator describe expected availability at a national level. They do not predict what any individual pharmacy has on the shelf next week.
comment on genuine question about units that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/reconstitution · 29 points · 1 year ago
Agreed — units are volume.
Disagreeing with this line only: adding more water is not a safety margin, it is a different divisor.
comment on genuine question about units that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/reconstitution · 4 points · 1 year ago
the number you write down is the number you will trust at 6am
comment on [Meta] the private prescription rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/glp1uk · 3 points · 1 year ago
discharge at goal back to the GP is where a lot of people fall over
comment on the bacteriostatic water question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/reconstitution · 49 points · 1 year ago
Research-use-only material is not approved for human use, so treat everything in this thread as arithmetic about solutions rather than instructions for a person.
comment on help me understand lyophilised, I have read the wiki twice in c/coldchain · 15 points · 1 year ago
a summer lane and a winter lane are different lanes
comment on [Meta] the Apotheke rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/glp1eu · 119 points · 1 year ago
Pack sizes and presentations differ between member states, so a headline price is not comparable until it is normalised to a common quantity.
comment on the reconstitution thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/reconstitution · 1 points · 1 year ago
Same. I got this wrong once, caught it because the units looked absurd, and have written on every vial since.
comment on how much of what we believe about UK actually comes from tier 3 threads in c/glp1uk · 137 points · 1 year ago
Correction: that threshold is your ICB’s, not a national one. They differ and they change by year.
comment on the NHS question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/glp1uk · 25 points · 1 year ago
Agreed. The ICB variation is the thing that makes national advice useless here.
comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about excursion until somebody posts a number in c/coldchain · 180 points · 1 year ago
transit temperature is a distribution, not a number
comment on packaging is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/coldchain · 126 points · 1 year ago
light matters more than people think for some of these
Adding the practical version: ask which lines are held regionally before you order in July.
comment on genuine question about sequence that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/bpc157 · 26 points · 1 year ago
short peptides are cheap, which cuts both ways
comment on bacteriostatic water is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/reconstitution · 225 points · 1 year ago
I would not round that figure. At 5mg/mL a rounding error of two units is a real fraction of the intended amount.
comment on bacteriostatic water is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/reconstitution · 2.1k points · 1 year ago
units are a volume on a U-100 syringe, not a dose
comment on [Meta] the tier 3 rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/glp1uk · 208 points · 1 year ago
the price difference between pharmacies this month is genuinely large
comment on [Meta] the tier 3 rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/glp1uk · 355 points · 1 year ago
Discharged at goal back to the GP, who would not continue it. Nobody had mentioned that this was how it ends.
comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about bacteriostatic water until somebody posts a number in c/reconstitution · 0 points · 1 year ago
The lyophilised cake displaces a small volume, so the true concentration is very slightly lower than the arithmetic suggests. It is a fraction of a percent and it is dwarfed by fill tolerance.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring private prescription at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1uk · 3 points · 1 year ago
private and NHS pathways are not a ladder, they are separate routes
comment on genuine question about UK that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/glp1uk · 218 points · 1 year ago
A private prescription is an independent route: it does not affect NHS list position, and it is not a step in the same pathway.
Disagreeing with this line: that is the arrangement in one nation and the question is about another.
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify UK in c/glp1uk · 35 points · 1 year ago
The scheme cap in Ireland was the single most useful thing I learned in a year of reading this board.
comment on the prescription question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/glp1eu · 0 points · 2 years ago
say which country or the thread is useless
Agreed — and normalising pack size before comparing prices is the fix for half these threads.
comment on three years of reimbursement threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/glp1eu · 182 points · 2 years ago
keep the prescription and the receipt, both matter for claims
comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for private prescription posts in c/glp1uk · 196 points · 2 years ago
Agreed. The ICB variation is the thing that makes national advice useless here.
comment on BPC-157 — 22 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/bpc157 · 2 points · 2 years ago
Same. Solution stability is the practical question and almost nobody asks it.
comment on someone explain NHS to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/glp1uk · 1 points · 2 years ago
Careful, that pricing figure is a headline offer with conditions attached rather than the actual monthly cost.
comment on someone explain NHS to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/glp1uk · 0 points · 2 years ago
Yes — four nations, four pathways, and threads that ignore that give people the wrong answer confidently.
comment on someone explain NHS to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/glp1uk · 97 points · 2 years ago
Is this a discharge back to the GP, or a discontinuation?
comment on someone explain ice pack to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/coldchain · 4 points · 2 years ago
Is this a line they hold in regional stock or is it shipping from origin?
