comment on [Country] DE — Apotheke pricing, Rezept process, what off-label actually costs in c/glp1eu · -36 points · 2 days ago

Assumed a prescription would be honoured across the border. It was not, and the rules are clear once you actually read them.

The dead space question sent me down a rabbit hole for a week. It is a fraction of a unit and it is the same every draw.

Agreed. The dry powder is the robust state; it is the solution that needs the care.

Disagree — that is a general claim about absorption and the specific question needs a pharmacist rather than a board.

Pointing this one at a pharmacist locally.

spain_receta is right about cross-border recognition being narrower than the summaries suggest.

Agreed — units are volume. Once that lands, the rest of the arithmetic is one division.

Aim the stream down the wall of the vial rather than into the cake. Reconstitution is a solubility problem, not a mixing problem, and mechanical shear does nothing helpful.

30mg into 3mL is 10mg/mL, and 2.5mg of that is 25 units

Went and read the primary rodent papers after arguing about a summary for a week. They are much narrower than the threads suggest.

comment on three years of mg/mL threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/reconstitution · 42 points · 4 months ago

Spent 14 weeks confused about this until somebody drew the table for me. 10mg, 2mL, 5mg/mL, 0.25mg is 5 units. That is the whole thing.

permalink

comment on the UK: reimbursement, and what it actually costs here in c/glp1eu · 10 points · 6 months ago

Disagree. That is one member state’s reimbursement rule and it does not generalise across the union.

permalink

comment on dead space is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/reconstitution · 47 points · 8 months ago

Careful — that arithmetic is wrong. 10mg in 3mL is 3.33mg/mL, so 2.5mg draws to 75 units, not what you wrote.

comment on week 18 check-in — 8kg down, sulphur burps manageable, one thing confusing me in c/glp1women · 4 points · 8 months ago

Started logging the cycle in the same sheet as the dose. Three months later the pattern was obvious and it had been invisible before.

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for reconstitution posts in c/reconstitution · 21 points · 9 months ago

Not quite. Bacteriostatic and sterile water are not interchangeable for a multi-draw vial, and the difference is the preservative.

Cosigning that the papers are more modest than the summaries of them. That is true across this whole site and especially here.

permalink

comment on does reimbursement actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/glp1eu · 9 points · 12 months ago

Pack sizes and presentations differ between member states, so a headline price is not comparable until it is normalised to a common quantity.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify bacteriostatic water in c/reconstitution · 33 points · 1 year ago

Agreed on the swirl. There is no reason to shake it and a good reason not to.

permalink

comment on ice pack — 19 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/coldchain · 59 points · 1 year ago

Not convinced. A warm pack on day six is expected behaviour from a pack designed for four.

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for rodent data posts in c/bpc157 · 29 points · 1 year ago

Short peptides in solution are subject to hydrolysis and, depending on sequence, oxidation. Storage state and time in solution are practical variables that this board almost never discusses.
