How long have you been logging?
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify maintenance in c/maintenancephase · 14 points · 11 months ago
boring is the objective now
food_noise_gone is right that stretching and reducing are different levers. Worth separating in every one of these threads.
comment on am I the only one who found tracking harder than the injections in c/dosinglogs · 12 points · 1 year ago
A log is only interpretable if the conditions are consistent. Same day, same time, same state, same scale — otherwise you are recording measurement variability rather than change.
comment on lyophilised — 8 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/coldchain · 1 points · 1 year ago
This. A liquid gel pack on arrival tells you about the pack’s duty cycle, not about the vial.
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify NHS in c/glp1uk · 3 points · 1 year ago
tier 3 waiting lists are measured in years, not months
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring data logger at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/coldchain · 1 points · 1 year ago
Careful. "The cold chain failed" is a strong claim and the evidence you have is a warm box.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring data logger at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/coldchain · 31 points · 1 year ago
Split an order across two months deliberately to compare summer and winter transit on the same lane. Four days difference, same carrier.
comment on [Results] 64 weeks, 11kg, and lowest effective dose was the hard part in c/maintenancephase · 18 points · 1 year ago
monthly weigh-ins are enough at this stage
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify packaging in c/coldchain · 7 points · 1 year ago
a warm gel pack tells you the pack failed, not that the material did
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring cold chain at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/coldchain · 0 points · 1 year ago
Disagree with the panic framing. Lyophilised material tolerates ordinary transit conditions far better than these threads imply.
comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about goal weight is guesswork in c/maintenancephase · 1 points · 1 year ago
Yes. The habits have to outlive the dose or the maintenance phase is just a countdown.
comment on A1c: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/bloodwork · 4 points · 1 year ago
Same view — ApoB if you add one thing.
santiago_rasmussen is right that a reference interval is not a target. It is a description of a population.
comment on help me understand lyophilised, I have read the wiki twice in c/coldchain · 15 points · 1 year ago
Yes — reconstitution date on the vial. It is the number you will want and cannot reconstruct.

Have you seen the current threshold published by your ICB?
comment on the maintenance thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/maintenancephase · 35 points · 1 year ago
Push back: that is not a plateau, that is maintenance. You have arrived and you are describing it as a failure.
comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about lipids until somebody posts a number in c/bloodwork · 98 points · 1 year ago
That is a non-fasting value and the interval you are comparing it against is a fasting one.
comment on help me understand ALT, I have read the wiki twice in c/bloodwork · 32 points · 1 year ago
a single ApoB outside range is a reason to repeat, not to panic
comment on the data logger question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/coldchain · 524 points · 1 year ago
Once in solution, the relevant risks are hydrolysis, aggregation and, for some sequences, oxidation. Refrigeration slows all three; freezing a solution introduces a separate risk at the ice interface.

Correcting my own comment: the two draws were 13 weeks apart, not the figure I gave earlier.

My A1c moved and I spent a fortnight convinced I knew why. The repeat six weeks later was back in range and I had changed nothing.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring goal weight at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/maintenancephase · 12 points · 1 year ago
Agreed that a few kilos of drift is ordinary. Weight is not a fixed number even for people who have never taken anything.
comment on the lowest effective dose thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/maintenancephase · 8 points · 1 year ago
Been at maintenance for 3 months on 1.7mg. Nothing happens. That is the whole report and it took me a while to accept it as success.
comment on the lowest effective dose thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/maintenancephase · 50 points · 1 year ago
Body weight varies by a couple of kilos over days in stable people through fluid, glycogen and gut content. A range is not a trend.
comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about Canada is guesswork in c/glp1canada · 1 points · 1 year ago
Health Canada approval is not coverage

discharge at goal back to the GP is where a lot of people fall over
comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about MHRA until somebody posts a number in c/glp1uk · 180 points · 1 year ago
Four pharmacies, four prices, same product, same month. The spread was larger than I expected and none of them were the headline offer.
comment on [Discussion] lyophilised is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/coldchain · 46 points · 1 year ago
powder at room temperature for a few days is usually a non-event

find the dose that holds, then stop optimising

Weigh monthly now. Best change I made in the whole run and it cost nothing.
comment on [Discussion] the excursion advice in here is 2 years out of date in c/coldchain · 130 points · 1 year ago
Push back: you cannot infer degradation from a temperature excursion alone. That is what testing is for.
comment on 5 months in and weight is still the thing I get wrong in c/dosinglogs · 4 points · 1 year ago
I would not draw a trend line through that. Two points and a gap is not a series.
comment on how much of what we believe about regain actually comes from lowest effective dose threads in c/maintenancephase · 26 points · 2 years ago
Right — appetite returns before the scale moves, which is the early signal people miss.
Adding one thing — decide what maintenance looks like before you arrive at it.
comment on three years of special authorization threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/glp1canada · 6 points · 2 years ago
Have you seen the special authorization criteria for your province?
comment on three years of special authorization threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/glp1canada · 0 points · 2 years ago
Disagree — that is your province’s formulary position and it does not carry to another.
comment on [Vendor] GGPeps order #16 — Ireland, 13 days, no drama, receipts inside in c/coldchain · 79 points · 2 years ago
Gel packs are designed for a duty cycle. A liquid pack at the end of a longer-than-expected transit is a pack behaving as specified, not evidence of an excursion in the vial.
