[Question] insulin resistance — what am I missing here

Question

Genuine question, and the title is the question: insulin resistance — what am I missing here.

Brought the cycle-annotated log to an appointment and it changed the conversation completely.

Went looking for trial data on the specific question asked here and found the population had not been enrolled.

The hair shedding was the thing that frightened me most and the thing that mattered least. It stopped.

Screenshot none of this. Read the whole thread, including the parts where I am told I am wrong.

Questions about oral contraceptive absorption and gastric emptying are legitimate pharmacology questions with product-specific answers. A pharmacist can answer them properly; a board cannot.

Push back: PCOS as a diagnosis and insulin resistance as a finding are not interchangeable, and the thread is using them as one.

Yes. The research gap is genuine; most of the trials were not designed to answer these questions.

The questions the trials under-powered: PCOS and insulin resistance, cycle changes, fertility signal and contraception interactions, perimenopause and menopause weight physiology, and the fact that the pregnancy answer is always "not while trying, talk to your clinician".
