comment on [Pricing] compounded tirz pricing in my state, six months of receipts in c/compounding · 11 points · 3 days ago

Concentration on the compounded vial was different from what I had been using and I nearly did the arithmetic on autopilot.

Hair shedding after significant weight loss is a telogen effect that follows the rate of loss. It is not specific to these compounds and it resolves.

Switched between two compounded preparations and the concentration on the label was different. Redid the arithmetic on paper before drawing anything.

Constipation is mostly reduced intake plus reduced fluid, not a direct effect. That is why the boring fibre and water answer keeps working.

Agreed that thin testing here says something about the members, not about the material.

potency testing on the finished preparation is the thing to ask for

Do you have the trace, or only the summary?

permalink

comment on [Question] why is reta purity testing so much more variable between labs in c/retatrutide · 1 points · 10 days ago

Is that the 48-week figure or an earlier readout?

Agreed, and the glucagon arm is exactly why the comparison threads do not work.

Panicked over a first-day sensor reading and rebuilt my week around it. It was the sensor.

comment on my gallbladder came out at month 7 and i would still do it again in c/sideeffects · 52 points · 23 days ago

The effect on gastric emptying is most pronounced early and attenuates with continued dosing, which is the mechanism behind the "it settles at a stable dose" pattern the whole board reports.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] glucagon is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/retatrutide · 52 points · 25 days ago

Correction: TRIUMPH is the phase 3 programme. The number you are quoting is from the phase 2 readout, which is a different trial.

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring compounding at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/compounding · 26 points · 28 days ago

Potency and sterility testing on the finished preparation are separate from any certificate covering the starting material.

Adding one thing — ask for the facility name. Most will give it, and the ones that will not have answered you.

comment on [Discussion] we need a standard template or these posts are unsearchable in c/labresults · 30 points · 29 days ago

First result I ever posted here got asked for the batch number and the claim.

Agreed — and two services on one batch is the strongest thing any of us can produce individually.

comment on [Medutest] SWB sema — 98.2%, cold chain intact, 9 days transit in c/labresults · 7 points · 1 months ago

Merged with the other thread on the same batch so the results sit together.

peptidemeter_pat is right that the band matters more than the peak. Consistency across lots is the finding.

comment on [PSA] hypoglycaemia is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/t2dglp1 · 1 points · 1 months ago

Yes — the person managing your diabetes is the one to talk to, and this board is explicit about that.

What does time in range look like, not just the average?

permalink

comment on [Question] France — has anyone got a straight answer on telehealth in c/compounding · 34 points · 1 months ago

Potency and sterility testing on the finished preparation are separate from any certificate covering the starting material. Ask which you are being shown.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] the telehealth advice in here is 3 years out of date in c/compounding · 3 points · 1 months ago

Yes — asking which facility, by name, is the single most useful question and most clinics will answer it.

Kept a log specifically because there is so little published. It is one person and it is not data.

I would not post that as a finding. It is a single result and the template asks you to say so.

Salt form matters for mass: a preparation specified as one salt and dosed as the free base gives you a different amount of peptide for the same number on the label.

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for PeptideMeter posts in c/labresults · 8 points · 1 months ago

Yes. Two services on the same batch is the strongest thing an individual member can produce, and it is not expensive.

permalink

comment on hair loss: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/sideeffects · 46 points · 2 months ago

Correction: that is a known effect of reduced intake rather than a direct drug effect. The distinction matters because the fix is different.

permalink

comment on someone explain thymosin to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/researchpeptides · 7 points · 2 months ago

Stocked lines and made-to-order lines have different lead times and different storage histories. Both are ordinary; the difference is worth confirming before you commit.

permalink

comment on TRIUMPH is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/retatrutide · 9 points · 2 months ago

This. The phase 2 result was genuinely large and it was also 48 weeks in a few hundred people.

permalink

comment on week 73 check-in — 28kg down, early fullness manageable, one thing confusing me in c/sideeffects · 18 points · 2 months ago

Agreed. Slowing down at meals did more for my nausea than everything I bought to fix it, which was embarrassing to discover.

permalink

comment on research peptides — 22 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/researchpeptides · 20 points · 2 months ago

Disagree — that name refers to at least two different molecules depending on who is selling it. The thread needs to be specific.

permalink

comment on does phase 2 actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/retatrutide · 123 points · 2 months ago

Phase 2 estimates effect and finds a dose range. Phase 3 estimates it precisely in a bigger population and catches what phase 2 was too small to see. Treating them as the same tier of evidence is the recurring error here.

Small fix — three receptors, not two.

nadia_norgaard is right about the escalation being the variable. It explains most of the difficult reports here.

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about dose escalation actually comes from glucagon threads in c/retatrutide · 138 points · 3 months ago

Yes — the glucagon arm is what makes it a different proposition rather than a stronger version of the others.

permalink

comment on constipation: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/sideeffects · 0 points · 3 months ago

Nothing in this thread is medical advice, including this comment. I am describing a mechanism, not telling anybody what to do about their own week.

permalink

comment on genuine question about retatrutide that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/retatrutide · 238 points · 4 months ago

Independent purity testing on this compound is thin compared with the older molecules, simply because fewer members have paid for it. Fewer results means wider uncertainty, not a verdict.

permalink

comment on do research peptides actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/researchpeptides · 19 points · 4 months ago

Yes. Naming conventions in this corner are loose enough that the same word covers several different molecules.

permalink

comment on the test results thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/labresults · 0 points · 5 months ago

The template is vendor, compound, batch, service, claim, result, and who paid.

Disagreeing with this line: that gap is ordinary variance, not a contradiction between the lab and the certificate.
