comment on goal — my 23-week log, condensed into one table in c/progresspics · 100 points · 1 year ago

the first person to notice was me, months after it started

comment on how much of what we believe about rules actually comes from wiki threads in c/meta · 147 points · 1 year ago

Complained about a rule without proposing anything and was politely pointed at this page. Fair.

Minimum order and lead time — did they quote both up front?

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify timeframe in c/progresspics · 20 points · 1 year ago

Disagree that the pace matters as much as you think. Durable is better than fast and nobody posts about durable.

16kg over 9 months and honestly the most useful marker was that stairs stopped being a decision.

A beyond-use date derived from published stability data means something different from one assigned by default rule.

Agreed — and the follow-up question is what the beyond-use date is based on.

comment on [Results] 12 weeks on 0.5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/progresspics · 24 points · 1 year ago

non-scale victories count and they are the ones people remember

Slight disagreement: that is a month, not a plateau, and calling it one makes it heavier than it is.

comment on someone explain state board to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/compounding · 59 points · 1 year ago

Compounded preparations are not approved products and carry no bioequivalence claim.

This is the distinction the whole board runs on. Everything else follows from it.

comment on help me understand progress, I have read the wiki twice in c/progresspics · 43 points · 1 year ago

Small correction, kindly meant: that is a range rather than a regain. Weight moves day to day in everybody.

permalink

comment on [Meta] the 503B rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/compounding · 11 points · 1 year ago

salt forms are the recurring argument and the answer is boring

permalink

comment on small win: glucagon stopped being a problem at week 36 in c/survodutide · -40 points · 2 years ago

the weight numbers are secondary to what this is being developed for

permalink

comment on the reship thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/vendorvetting · 5 points · 2 years ago

Not convinced by the ranking-by-vibe approach here. The community number is derived from reports; your feeling is derived from four posts you remember.

comment on gastric emptying — 12 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/glp1science · 1 points · 2 years ago

Which receptor arm are you attributing that to?

permalink

comment on does receptor actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/glp1science · 14 points · 2 years ago

GIP receptor biology is genuinely unsettled — there is a live argument about agonism versus antagonism at the receptor — and the clinical results are robust regardless, which is an uncomfortable and interesting position.

Right, and the concentration genuinely can differ from the branded product, which breaks people’s arithmetic.

reship policy in writing before the order, not after

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about VendorInvestigate in c/vendorvetting · 1 points · 2 years ago

consistency across lots beats one spectacular result

comment on why does nobody talk about VendorInvestigate in c/vendorvetting · 1 points · 2 years ago

Sent the same compound from QSC and GGPeps to VendorInvestigate in the same month. Both came back above the claim on the certificate — mine was 99.3% on a stated 99.0%.

comment on [Question] reship — what am I missing here in c/vendorvetting · 170 points · 2 years ago

Careful. "Nobody has tested Paradigm Peptide" is a statement about this board, not about the supplier. Say the first thing, not the second.

Read the primary paper after arguing about the summary for a fortnight. The discussion section said almost the opposite of what the thread had concluded.

MASH endpoints are histological, which is a much harder bar

if a clinic will not name the facility, that is your answer

shortage status changes and the whole arrangement changes with it

usp_appendix is right about the concentration trap. It breaks arithmetic that has been reliable for months.

The shortage list is the legal hinge: the permissions that allow certain compounding to happen at scale are tied to a drug’s shortage status, which changes.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about shortage list in c/compounding · 42 points · 2 years ago

Asked for potency testing on the finished preparation. They had it. I had assumed they would not.

comment on [Discussion] PeptideMeter is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/vendorvetting · 2 points · 2 years ago

Flair set to Vendor.

Agreed — and the corollary is that "no data" and "bad data" have to be written differently. The table separates them for exactly that reason.
