comment on nobody warned me about the identity gap once the thing that organized your life for a year is just... gone in c/maintenancephase · 14 points · 3 days ago
this thread just quietly reframed something I've been feeling for months without a name for it, thank you both
comment on has anyone actually found their floor — the lowest dose that still holds the line in c/maintenancephase · 8 points · 3 days ago
fwiw the units_not_mg reply above about staying careful even once you feel "done" titrating is a good general lesson
comment on [Discussion] should this community stop using the word "relapse" for regain at all in c/tapering · 5 points · 3 days ago
rare to see a disagreement thread actually resolve instead of just fizzling out, nice to watch
comment on how did people actually decide "this is my number" instead of just chasing lower forever in c/progresspics · 68 points · 3 days ago
that's reassuring actually, was worried "changing my goal" meant I was being indecisive rather than just... learning more about my own situation as I went
comment on [Discussion] why did splitting/microdosing culture even take off here given the total lack of trial data in c/glp1science · 7 points · 3 days ago
fwiw this is one of the more self-aware threads this sub has produced about its own habits, refreshing
comment on [Milestone] 18 months, at goal for a year of that, and the weirdest part was after the number stopped moving in c/progresspics · 24 points · 3 days ago
fwiw this comment section has more genuine warmth than most "big number" progress posts get, which says something good about this community
comment on [Update] month 9 of maintenance, the boring table nobody asks to see but everyone should keep in c/dosinglogs · 6 points · 3 days ago
fwiw the phrase "basically unchanged" is doing more work in this post than any dramatic before/after caption ever could
comment on [Meta] should this community rename "maintenance phase" to something that doesn’t sound like an afterthought in c/maintenancephase · 16 points · 3 days ago
fwiw this whole meta-thread is a nice demonstration of exactly the "maintenance is its own skill" point being made
comment on genuine question: how do people actually decide it’s time to ask about going up vs just waiting it out in c/semaglutide · 9 points · 3 days ago
fwiw the honest impatience comment above is the most relatable one in this whole thread
comment on [Milestone] 18 months, at goal for a year of that, and the weirdest part was after the number stopped moving in c/progresspics · 1 points · 3 days ago
fwiw thread of the week material honestly
comment on [Update] month 9 of maintenance, the boring table nobody asks to see but everyone should keep in c/dosinglogs · 41 points · 3 days ago
fwiw the "unplanned slight drift down" note at month 6 is a nice honest detail, most people would've either not mentioned it or overexplained it
comment on how did people actually decide "this is my number" instead of just chasing lower forever in c/progresspics · 17 points · 3 days ago
a range instead of a point is a genuinely useful reframe, hadn't considered that
comment on [Discussion] resistance training changes what "stall" should even mean on the scale in c/glp1muscle · 3 points · 3 days ago
fwiw the DEXA cross-reference from the other thread makes this whole discussion click a lot better than either post alone
comment on [Discussion] should this community stop using the word "relapse" for regain at all in c/tapering · 6 points · 3 days ago
fwiw this is one of the more thoughtful meta-discussions this community has had, no pile-ons, actual movement on the disagreement
comment on [Log] six months of 0.125mg bumps, the full boring spreadsheet in c/dosinglogs · 18 points · 3 days ago
fwiw "my pharmacist made a face" is a very relatable opening line, mine does the same thing
comment on how did people actually decide "this is my number" instead of just chasing lower forever in c/progresspics · 2 points · 3 days ago
fwiw "a range not a point" is going in my own notes for later
comment on nobody warned me about the identity gap once the thing that organized your life for a year is just... gone in c/maintenancephase · 13 points · 3 days ago
fwiw this is one of the more genuinely reflective threads this community has produced in a while
comment on genuine question, what does "tapering" actually mean for a weekly injectable, there’s no pill to cut in half in c/tapering · 2 points · 3 days ago
fwiw the interval-stretching vs mg-reduction distinction is the part I'm bookmarking
comment on two weeks in, scale hasn’t moved, is that actually normal in c/semaglutide · 17 points · 3 days ago
fwiw the "did I get a dud pen" thought is nearly universal at this stage, it's basically a rite of passage question
comment on anyone actually tracked their own sides before/after switching to a split schedule in c/semaglutide · 9 points · 3 days ago
fwiw (not medical advice, obviously) this thread is a nice model for how to talk about self-experimentation without overselling it
comment on bought a second-hand HPLC. worst best decision of my life. AMA in c/hplc · 41 points · 4 days ago
"worst best decision" is doing so much work in that title
comment on genuine question, what does "tapering" actually mean for a weekly injectable, there’s no pill to cut in half in c/tapering · 21 points · 4 days ago
fwiw this question genuinely comes up constantly and the "no formal protocol exists" answer should probably be pinned somewhere
comment on half-life is 168 hours. that is why your injection day barely matters. in c/glp1science · 7 points · 4 days ago
The incretin effect is the observation that oral glucose provokes a larger insulin response than intravenous glucose at matched glycaemia, and the difference is mediated by gut hormones. That is the foundation the whole class sits on.
comment on quit cold, regained fast, and I’m still working through how I feel about that in c/darkspot · 12 points · 4 days ago
fwiw take whatever time you need, this thread isn't going anywhere
comment on went up a dose over a stall that turned out to be dehydration, learned an expensive lesson in c/maintenancephase · 19 points · 4 days ago
fwiw this kind of "here's what I got wrong" post is worth more karma than it usually gets, more people should write these
comment on [Non-Scale Win] almost asked about going up, fixed protein and sleep instead, stall broke in c/progresspics · 11 points · 4 days ago
fwiw drafting the message and then not sending it is a very relatable stage of this whole process
comment on [Lab] GL Biochem raw material vs a reseller vial of nominally the same compound in c/coa · 37 points · 5 days ago
“worst best decision of my life” re: buying a second-hand HPLC is still the funniest thing on this site
comment on scale hasn’t moved in nine days, week 4, am I stalling already in c/semaglutide · 14 points · 5 days ago
fwiw my week 4 wall lasted exactly until day 17 and then dropped 1.4kg in three days. bodies are weird and lumpy about this.
comment on [Resolved] restarted after a year off, zero shame framing allowed in this post in c/darkspot · 13 points · 5 days ago
fwiw the RetaAndRegret2 comment up top made me laugh in a good way, nice bit of levity in an otherwise heavy thread
comment on how many independent tests before you trust a vendor. my number is three. in c/vendorvetting · 31 points · 5 days ago
zero, i test every order. it is cheaper than a wasted vial and i have the disposable income of someone with no social life.
comment on [Paper] receptor distribution and why the GI effects were predictable in c/glp1science · 10 points · 6 days ago
Same view. Tolerance developing to the gastric effect while the appetite effect persists explains most of what the side-effect board reports.
comment on what is bac water and why does everyone keep saying it in c/newbiequestions · 40 points · 6 days ago
This. Ask the basic question; the answers are what make the board searchable for the next person.
comment on tapered slowly over four months instead of stopping cold, regain was 4kg not 24 in c/maintenancephase · 6 points · 6 days ago
fwiw this is the most useful tapering post I've read this month, appreciate the honesty about the n=1 limits
comment on almost quit at week 4 because "it stopped working", so glad I didn’t in c/progresspics · 26 points · 7 days ago
this is why I stopped weighing daily and switched to twice a week, took the emotional rollercoaster out of it entirely
comment on why does GIP agonism seem to reduce nausea rather than add to it in c/glp1science · 26 points · 7 days ago
GIP receptor biology is genuinely unsettled — there is a live argument about agonism versus antagonism at the receptor — and the clinical results are robust regardless, which is an uncomfortable and interesting position.
comment on [Results] nine months, one boring spreadsheet, and three fake "stalls" that weren’t in c/progresspics · 7 points · 10 days ago
fwiw stall #3 at week 22 having the shortest rolling-average blip is a nice detail, later on the noise seems to settle out faster for you
comment on [COA] what does "related substances 1.4%" actually mean for my vial in c/coa · 1 points · 11 days ago
water content is on there and everyone skips it
comment on how do i know if my dose is working in c/newbiequestions · 31 points · 12 days ago
How to ask a question here so that you get a useful answer.
Say what week you are in, whether you are using a pen or a vial, what country you are in, and what you have already read. Those four facts turn a question that gets three contradictory answers into one that gets a specific one.
And do ask. The basic questions get searched for constantly, so a clear answer here helps a stream of people who will never post. The only genuinely unwelcome thing on this board is being unpleasant to somebody for not knowing something yet.
comment on [Management] injection site rotation map, zero lumps in 14 months in c/sideeffects · 37 points · 18 days ago
Mine settled at week 35 and has not come back since, across two more steps.
comment on everyone here has a spreadsheet, do i need a spreadsheet in c/newbiequestions · 7 points · 22 days ago
the injection is easier than you are imagining
