France: appeal, and what it actually costs here, which sounds obvious until you try to state the evidence for it. New plan year, entirely new criteria, and the denial…

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring TGA at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1aus · 43 points · 1 year ago
The national shortage database is a primary source with expected resolution dates attached. It is public, searchable, and consistently more accurate than reporting about it.

PBS listing and TGA registration are two different questions
This is the distinction that makes the rest of the board legible.
comment on why does nobody talk about copay in c/insurancefights · 2 points · 1 year ago
Agreed. The denial letter tells you which criterion failed, and answering that specific criterion is the entire job.

independent testing on this compound is very thin
comment on [Meta] the TGA rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/glp1aus · 2 points · 1 year ago
Small fix — that is the New Zealand arrangement, and the question is about Australia.

a warm gel pack tells you the pack failed, not that the material did
kian_solberg is right that the pack failing is not the material failing. Two separate claims.
comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for appeal posts in c/insurancefights · 3 points · 1 year ago
Prior authorisation criteria are republished each plan year. A criterion that blocked you in one year may not exist in the next, so a denial is worth retesting after the turnover.
comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about excursion until somebody posts a number in c/coldchain · 0 points · 1 year ago
Right, and asking what the stability statement was written against is one line of email that reframes everything.

Employer plan or individual plan?

Peer-to-peer took fifteen minutes and resolved something a written appeal had been sitting on for a month.
comment on the appeal thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/insurancefights · 88 points · 1 year ago
Correction: that is a formulary exclusion, not a prior authorisation denial. Different form, different route, different deadline.
comment on glucagon is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/survodutide · 56 points · 1 year ago
Assumed the weight numbers were the point and was corrected. They are secondary to what this is being developed for.
comment on [Discussion] lyophilised is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/coldchain · 84 points · 1 year ago
ask what storage condition the stability statement was written against
comment on [PSA] New Zealand is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/glp1aus · 12 points · 2 years ago
Careful, personal importation provisions are narrow and specific and the general version circulating here is wrong.
comment on [Question] Spain — has anyone got a straight answer on denial in c/insurancefights · 617 points · 2 years ago
Appeal deadlines run from the date on the determination letter. They are strict, they are short, and a missed deadline usually forfeits that level entirely.

How many days in transit, and which month?

What has been documented as tried, and for how long?
comment on how much of what we believe about Australia actually comes from New Zealand threads in c/glp1aus · 27 points · 2 years ago
Right, and the compounded supply position moved. Threads from two years ago are describing a different situation.
comment on data logger is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/coldchain · 27 points · 2 years ago
Once in solution, the relevant risks are hydrolysis, aggregation and, for some sequences, oxidation. Refrigeration slows all three; freezing a solution introduces a separate risk at the ice interface.

Correction: that stability figure covers the lyophilised powder, not the reconstituted solution. Different claim entirely.
data logger is doing more work than we give it credit for. It is the sort of thing everyone half-believes and nobody writes down. Once in solution, the relevant risks…
